BRIDES MAID DRESSES !!!!!

DO NOT GO TO DAVID'S BRIDAL

I went in Feb. to pick out bridesmaid dresses & asked if I could place an order - the lovely sales associate said that the 'seperates collection' NEVER gets discontinued so I should order 12 weeks before my wedding not now (in Feb.).

My wedding is now 20 weeks away and 2 of my girls went to place the order last night and they were told that they could not order the skirt porition of the outfit b/c it was no longer being made.
I went there myself to figure it out b/c 2 of my other girls all ready have their dresses at their house in Baton Rouge, LA so I could not switch the skirt at this point.

When asked why a Sales Associate would tell me that the 'seperates collection' NEVER gets discontinued she replied 'They do not get discountinued - we lower the prices and then we don't make them anymore'

After an hour of trying to figure something out I finally decided that I can find the remaining skirts needed at another store - not David's Bridal. Davids Bridal was willing to give me phone numbers of different stores that might have the skirt in stock - but not willing to call and I would have to pay $15 per skirt to be shipped and there was no guarentee that the skirts would be in good condition since they are off the rack!!!

This was my first and only BRIDEZILLA experience so far...

Please tell anyone considering using David's Bridal about this so another bride does not have to deal with their LOVELY sales staf....

I had many other issues with my bridal gown but I have vented to much for one day as it is.

omg I'm so sorry you had to deal with that..

My sister is in a wedding and is the maid of honor and she ordered her dress from there because the bride picked it, well the dress came in and they ordered the wrong one!!! I have heard alot of negative things about them.

Yes - I have heard many bad things myself... I had to use them for other weddings that I was in as a bridesmaid and not one experience was tolerable - all terrible. The only reason i picked them in the first place is b/c they has location in Baton Rouge, LA where my MO lives & I thought it would be convient for everyone and she could make sure her dress fits with out coming to NY or anything. I knew I would regret the decision - which may be why I am so angered over the situation.

BUT I do appreciate the support ladies - sometimes there are things that other brides would understand! Thanks

Just dealing with them for my bridal gown was a hassle enough that I went elsewhere for my BM dresses. Thank God for Phyllis!!!!!!!!

So does anyone have any suggestions of a bridal shop that I could find the same separate collection in the APPLE (red) color as Davids'
I would prefer that the two girls that have their dresses not have to return them & get new ones.

Yikes!! I am so sorry to hear that!! Good luck finding the pieces you need.

sorry.....but it's well known on this board that they lack greatly in customer service....and often general knowledge at david's. i had my own crazy ordeal....they ordered the wrong BM dresses, shipped them out to the OOT girls and lost the one in town girl's....then when the right ones came in, they tried to charge me for shipping all over again AND then tried to tell me that they'd already shipped the right ones and would not be shipping the new ones.


it was too late to go elsewhere...but i did go elsewhere for alterations...in fact, when they called to confirm my appt., i said i was coming...but didn't

I dealt with Davids but I had an awesome experience...but you don't need to hear that...

hummm that sounds like the definition of DISCONTINUED! That is terrible, they should be bending over backwards to correct this mistake! THEY should be calling other stores to see if it is instock and take the hit on shipping... this is not a Bridezilla 'thing'

The BM's dresses I liked were from there, but after hearing nightmares I have chosen to seek a similar dress elsewhere. I also heard there alterations are horrific! I am sooooooooo NOT dealing with them!
