brides maid dresses

I have been searching for Brides Maid dresses and found some that I like. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on places, other than the Commack wedding center, that have a wide or good selection of dresses. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Estelles-Tara, David's Bridal Beware! (long)

Hi Tara, I got my bridesmaids dresses at Estelle's, great dresses, great prices. My girls dresses were$107. Some of the dresses you can buy off the rack, hopefully you can get one for each girl, and some you can order depending on the manufacturer. Just ask the saleswoman, they'll tell you. Also, be very careful W/ David's Bridal. I had a nightmare w/ them! Igot married April 7,2000. I saw a beautiful flower girls dress there for $99 dollars. you can't beat that price. And besides I think they have the best selection of flower girls dresses. I wanted my flower to have a brand new dress, not one that has been tried on a hundred times. So I ordered a dress for her in September 1999. They told me it would only take 4-6 weeks so it wasn't necessary to order a dress this soon for February( i told them my wedding was in feb.2000., never tell the bridal store your exact date!) I told them, i don't care i want to allow plenty of time, and i want the dress in my possession for the next 5 months. I forgot about the dress, and called 8 weeks later, and they said it hadn't arrived yet, I called every week for the next 4 months!!!!! They gave me the runaround for 4 months!!. i caught them in several lies!! I was livid. to sum it up, when they claimed the dress finally came in, it was crumpled in a balland had black spots all over it!. I think they tried to pass off a dress from the rack. after they cleaned and pressed the dress, my flower girls mother called me to let me know they had it, i went over to her house, had her put on the dress, and the dress was too big. i looked inside and 'coincidentally' the tag had been cut. Now mind you this is now the week of my 'fake' weddding. Finally I wen't back to David's Bridal flipped on the manager who lied to me for months, and went over to the rack found the exact dress in the right size and walked out!. Could you imagine if this was my wedding gown! they were rude, and so not accomodating. The moral of this ladies order something far in advance and never give your real wedding Date, because you can't trust anything. Thank god i didn't give them my real date. Basically they never ordered my flower girls dress because they felt it was too soon!! BE CARE FUL and I'm sorry its so long, but if i can save a disater from happening, to you brides, that 'll put a smile on my Face! :)

David's Bridal-Tracy

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with the dress there. I'm glad it worked out in the end. I wanted to know which sotre you were dealing with? There are so many of them that i'm hoping it was a case of bad management on the store level...
