brides on a budget. come on in.

I was wondering if there are more brides on a budget. I am trying to plan my wedding/renewal for under 6000.
this will be my breakdown. tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions.
Reception rental fee: 500 to 700
catering costs: 1000 to 2000 hopefully with drinks included and linens, and other rentals.
cake: 200
dress: 700 or less
hair and makeup: 100
dj:500
photos:1500
flowers:450 maybe making my own.
ceremony cost fee: 350
Officiant: hopefully someone that we know.
No honeymoon since we already had it.

For the dress, try Davids. Sometimes they have $99 sales.

for a cake its cheaper to get a smaller cake, to cut for show then have a sheetcake(same flavor) in the back for the rest...

I am definitely a bride on a budget.

Your photo budget is the same as mine. I have found some places in that budget. JAM wedding center in Lybrook is very inexpensive. I am going with 12th night photography. I think its $1200 for 8 hours. www.twelfthnightphoto.com That does not include albums but he does digital photos also so you can have a CD slide show of some of your movies.

Budget Vendors

I'm on a budget as well- not as tight as you, but pretty small for this area. My mom's making my dress (thank GOD) and I got a good deal on my hall for what I'm getting. DJ and Jazz Trio are $700 total, Video $500-$600, Photography $1150, Flowers $870.
