Brides who are using a ketubah...

FH and I are planning on purchasing a ketubah thats written in both English and Hebrew, only problem is, we would have to provide the Hebrew fill ins to personalize it. Can someone please refer me to who they used for their Hebrew transcriptions, or if there is any online translator thats accurate? I've tried google, but it isn't a hundred percent since it omitted the date and our names. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a Rabbi that you are using during the ceremony? I think that would be your best bet.

Thank you for the suggestions ladies! I'll try the rabbi first and also look into Yussels!

Our Rabbi told us to send him the text from the website so he can tell us what to include and to make sure the text is acceptable.

You probably should consult your Rabbi or call a local temple for help. But for dates, there are a lot of easy translators online. This one should work-- this is for your date: http://www.hebcal.com/converter/?gd=19&gm=10&gy=2014&g2h=1.

Our Rabbi also told us this. The proof needs to be sent to her and approved by her.

Oh wow, I didn't know the rabbi needed to approve them...could it be bc FH and I are interfaith, and The ceremony is performed by a reformed rabbi? All he mentioned to us was a couple of sites that we can choose from, but nothing about him needing to approve our ketubah, so thanks for letting me know ladies!

Ours is a conservative Rabbi so he told us exactly which text we needed to choose and also that we have to send him it before ordering for approval. A reform Rabbi is completely different and might not really care. I would double check before ordering and spending money!

I'm not sure on the specifics regarding a rabbi with specific ketubah wording, bc FH's dad is a rabbi so he is marrying us. We got out Ketubah from Yussels in Merrick, they have such a big selection and they proof it like a million times. It actually came in yesterday so I'm excited to pick it up.

Also to add they help you pick the wording which I liked because if I ordered one myself online I would have NO IDEA

It doesn't matter which branch of Judaism your rabbi is part of. He or she will be able to help you with the Hebrew for your ketubah. There are interfaith ketubot and the non- jewish partner and parents' names will be transliterated into Hebrew.

If you still need help, I can help you. FM me
