If you had just a ceremony... how long was it from the time of the ceremony till the time you left (after pictures and such)?
TIA

I'm not getting married in a church, but I'm not getting married at the reception site either. I have a 4 hour lag time between the ceremony start time, and the CH start time.

me too.. was wondering if that is enough time.. the reception locale is about 40 minutes away from the church

I talked to my photographer about the time, since I can set the ceremony for any time I want. I have an hour drive between ceremony site and reception locale. I'm figuring 1/2 hour ceremony. My photographer told me that would be enough time, although I think I'm going to cheat and put 1/2 hour earlier on the invites to make sure all the guests have arrived and are seated before I leave my house for the ceremony (I'm only 1.6 miles away, and I don't want to be at the ceremony site waiting for the guests I want to be home).

Re: Brides who got married in a church....
our ceremony started at 5, it was over probably around 5:30/5:40 by teh time we walked out. we then had a receiving line, so it was probably totally done at 6 pm

we had the ceremony at 3pm, we were out of the church within 20-25 minutes... had the receiving line, took some pictures, I think we were on our way around 4pm...

I think it is a MUST to put at least a half and hour b4 the actually start time on your invites.
