Bridesave.com questions

I think I found my dress today..

The shop wants 770. for it. Plus alterations of course. Oh yea -- and tax. I know that doesn't sound like a lot -- but my checking account is screaming blue murder by now.

So -- I went to Bridesave and there it is for 300 less. I am an INCH from buying it. But! .. and here are the questions:

1) I know there are some on here that have bought their dress from Bridesave. Are you happy? How long did it take to come in?? If anyone had a problem how was it resolved?
How long does shipping take if Bridesave says it's 'in stock'?

2) Where can I go to get officially measured? The saleslady in the store did a quick measure so I kinda know where I am... but I would think I would need someone to take them for real?

3) What then do you do about alterations?? Can anyone reccomend a good seamstress?

Sorry for all the questions. I just don't want to make a mistake !!!

Thanks for reading!

Oh yea -- and here's the dress!!

Re: Bridesave.com questions

Belleboyd, is Halloween your date too???

Ok, I ordered my dress from Bridesave a few weeks ago and my guaranteed delivery date is June 5th, but I've read on here that more often than not the dress arrive weeks early. I never would have ordered my wedding gown online if it weren't for all the girls on here who had done so and raved about them. In fact, I don't think I've read anything negative about them. I ordered mine over the phone and the woman was very nice and helpful and I've receieved subsequent e-mails keeping me updated.

My grandmother did my measurements, she used to make bathing suits, but you can go to any professional seamstress at a dry cleaner or dressmaking shop. When you get measured, ask those same people about their ability to do alterations. My grandmother's friend is a retired seamstress/dressmaker and is doing my alterations as a favor.

Your dress is beautiful by the way! Good luck.
