Brides...do you have a large gap of time between your ceremony and reception? What are you going to do about limos??
Our ceremony is at 4 and reception is at 7:30. The church is near my house so the limo will probably pick me up at 3:30. Say the ceremony is over at 5 the latest...and pictures at the local park are over at 6/6:30. By the time we get to CB it will be 7/7:30.
These times are estimates - I am just overestimating to be safe because of traffic. BUT the issue here is, most limo companies charge their packages 3.25 hours and we will need more than that so we would end up paying for overtime no matter what company we go with!!!! I cant believe this hadnt occured to me until last night when we went to visit our first company.
So if you have a lot of time in between what are you doing? I know its possible that we might not go over but I am thinking we most likely will. I dont want to be stressed about timing on my wedding day!!!

We booked one of our limos for 5 hours.
It will pick us up at 1:30 and the CH starts at 6:30, but we plan on getting there early to take family pics.

My church is at 3 p.m. (pick up at grooms house at 2:15) and my cocktail hour is at 7 p.m.
I told the limo company upfront I wanted a 4 hour package, and the limo threw in an extra 15 minutes in addition to the 15 minute leeway. Sooooo, basically I have a 4-1/2 hour package for my limos.

My ceremony is at 2 and I figure with the pictures and all I should be out of church by 3:30. My hall is about 40 minutes from the church and precocktail hour starts at 5:30 p.m.

The church ceremony begins at 3:00. It will be over at about 4:00, by the time the receiving line finishes and we are back in the limos it will be about 4:30. The cocktail hour begins at 6:00, but the reception hall is also about 30-45 minutes away from the church. Most of my guest will probably be arriving at the reception at about 5:15, I hope they'll be able to start the CH alittle early, I have to look into that.

Honestly, this is something that I'm concerned about too.
Our ceremony is at 2:30, so the guys will get picked up by 1:30 or so, and us girls will leave at 2:00. The cocktail hour is at 7:00, but FH and I will get dropped off at Giorgio's early, I'm hoping by 5:00 so we can take pics. The BP will go to their hotel and hang out, and then come by shuttle to Giorgio's around 6:00. I'm thinking that I will need at least 4 1/2 hours of limo time. I called and asked for a 4 hour quote, and then I asked about overtime. I'm hoping that when I actually go and look at the cars, I can bargain in some OT for no charge.

I hadn't even thought of this!!! I have a HUGE gap in time! and I seriously mean huge! our ceremony is at 1 and our cocktail hour doesn't start until 7:30 (see I told you huge!! LOL). I'm not sure what we will do...I guess suck it up and pay the OT charges. Hopefully we can negotiate something-that's a lot of overtime!

My ceremony is at 4 and the CH starts at 6. Didn't want big gap, lots of guests driving 1/2 hour or more to there.
