Ok girls I need your opinion.. having trouble figuring out my bridal party, I have a few friends that I really want in it but at the same time dont want a huge wedding party... SO.. do you think if i ask some of my girls to do other things- like read a poem, hand out the programs.. do you think those are an honor to do as well.. was thinking of having them also where the same dresses as the girls in the wedding party.. what are your thoughts?
I don't see anything wrong with them handing out programs etc. Will they be taking pictures with you as part of the BP? I'm not sure about them wearing the same dress it might be confusing.
I wouldn't have them wearthe same dress, but helping out and having them be included is a nice thing.
I am not having a huge wedding party either. It just makes things easier. Pick your dearest friends to be bridesmaids. I think reading a poem, handing out programs etc. is an honor so your other friends should not be insulted. I agree that it might be a little confusing for the other girls to wear the same dress.
My Bridal Party is fairly large (mostly consisting of siblings) and I do have a girlfriend that I wanted to include, but just couldn't. She will be doing a reading for us, and will be including in all pre, during and post wedding activities!!
I think thats a great idea - and if some girls ask why you are doing it- just say exactly that - that you don't want a huge wedding party but cdouldn't leave the ones that mean alot to you out!
