bridesmaid

SO i have this bridesmaid that is already driving me crazy. Whenever I share something that I can cross off the list (like DJ, Photographer, Limo), all she says is wow, its early to start booking. I tell her that things book up and i dont want to fall in love with a vendor and then find out I cant have them since they are booked (Not to mention my wedding is next nov, so i dont think its THAT far in advance)... I understand that its my wedding and people may not be as excited as me when I book, but still is askign for a little excitment or encouragement too much to ask for??? I want to be like cant you be supportive for once? (but that may be too bridezilla-ish) She also keeps making up excuses abotu not hanging out when i ask her to go out (just for fun, not wedding related).. Im starting to think i made a mistake askign her to be in the party, even though i was friends with her for over 10 years.. Shoudl i confront her or let it get closer to the wedding and see if her attitude changes? Thanks

I would talk to her in a non-confrontational way and just ask what's up. Tell her you want her to be in your bridal party for a reason, and say you would love for her to show more interest/enthusiasm. maybe theres an aspect of planning she'd enjoy helping with?

planning now is NOT early though! a lot of vendors book up fast. we booked most of our major vendors by the 1 year mark.

you are soo not too early to book your vendors... i did the same thing i started booking by the end of october and everything was booked .... I would try and talk to your friend... you dont want to wait and come so close to your wedding and have problems... the closer it gets the worse it is..from experience trust me!!!!!

Re: bridesmaid

youre booking right on time!!!

people gave me sht when i was booking a few weeks before my year anniversary to the wedding.

its as simple as this: if theyre not living it....they dont get it!!!!

ask her whats goign on. i'm having BM problems too.

im thinking it might have been better not to have any!

I would def talk to her and tell her how you feel... if she dont like it kick her out and either just have the party the way it is or replace her!!!

You have to keep in mind, no matter what some ppl are going to love what you do and others wont. You cannot make everyone happy. You have to make yourself and FH happy.

Its your wedding. When your BM gets married she can do however she wants.
