bridesmaid dress

how much is too much for a bridesmaid dress?

i found a dress that i really love for my girls, but i don't know if it's too expensive. i've never been in a bridal party before so i'm kind of clueless about this. i know how expensive weddings can be for the bridal party and i know that not everyone has the money to splurge on a dress that they'll probably only wear once. i'm just trying to find a dress that goes with my vision and is affordable for the girls.

I flat out asked them what they would be comfortable spending. I had anticipated staying under $200 but my girls actually said anything up to $250 is fine...

I will still pick a couple of dresses in diff price ranges and see which they like

i really wanted to keep it under $200 including tax and alterations and i seem to be finding a hard time finding that. I think over $300 would be a lot...personally

I think $200 and above is way too much!!!! THAT 'S JUST ME. My dress was origanally $200 but I found that dress at a bridal salon that could give it to me for the best price, then I called up paradise and they gave it to me for the price i wanted!!!!!!!!!

All of my BM dresses for other peoples weddings were $200, but then ended up being over $300 after tax and alterations.

I received a quote of $140 for the BM dress I want for my wedding (which I was thrillllled about). I really wanted to get a dress for under $175

I tried to keep the dresses as inexpensive as I could for my girls so when I was searching for dresses I avoided certain designers that I knew were going to be too much.

I'm happy that the girls were able to get a great price on the dress they all loved - $145 before taxes and alterations.

In the past, as a BM, I have paid anywhere from around $150 up to $300 for a BM dress after alterations.

I'm trying to keep it under $200.00 if possible.

I really wanted to keep it around 150, but the one I loved was 180. I told everyone the price and to tell me if it was too much, and everyone said it was fine. I've paid 350 for a dress in the past, NOT including alterations If it was for anyone but my BF I would have pitched a fit. I think 200 should be the upper limit IMO
