Well...I've been going back and forth with this for a while now and I still have no clue what to do, so I was hoping you girls could help me! My wedding colors are deep teal and purple (jewel tones). I have no idea whether I should do teal dresses or purple dresses or maybe a combo of the two. Or I can make my BM one color and my MOH the other color. I am almost certain that their bouquets are going to be varying shades of purple. This has been driving me nuts for some time now, so TYIA!!

thats hard..... teal and purple are my 2 favorite colors--- my MOH did the teal so i went with the purple (actually it's sangria) lol ...how can u do a combo of the 2??
I've seen dresses that had the teal fade into purple or a teal top and purple bottom (or vice versa) or the whole dress is one color with the sash in the alternating color.
These are just examples and are not necessarily the dresses i'm choosing:
I was about to choose it, but my sister is pregnant and tought the waist band was too low
and great minds think alike date twin (ish since you are a year later )

do both! I'm doing a purplish color (more of a lavender) and a peach because some of my sisters/BM's hate lavender

I thought the waist band was high, right under the bust, but I guess it looks different when you try it on. Lol, I didn't even notice that! Yes great minds do think alike lol!

she never tried it on, but since there are two bands she thought it would sit too low... idk! Either way we went with a different dress, which will be purple with a turquise belt thingy

That is what I am doing for my BP. Have the MOH's in one color and the BP in another and let the sash complement each other.

agree with this. My MOH has a sash and in the same color as the BM's solid colored dresses.

I am doing both! My girls will be alternating purple and light blue. I wanted teal but the dress we picked didn't come in teal... we all LOVED this shade of blue though! Also the purple is darker than in the pic. But you get the idea!

Love it!!! My MOH's (two) are going to wear clover and my BM and JR's are going to lettuce ... happy that i got to go to the bridal shop b/c the colors that i picked out for the MOH was a little bit dark and i didnt like it ...

So I am getting married this Sept.....and I am doing Turq and voliet for my girls....at first I was gonna do the same thing with the sash but since I have 11 girls (yes I know...crazy) I am doing the same dress just every other girl a different color. The dress I got was a grecian dress from Alfred Angelo...the colors are violet and Marie blue is their turq.....I know you said jewel tones so they might be a litle too bright for you but give it a look
also.....without knowing the blue orchids are the exact same color of the dress...the inside of the orchid is blue and the tips are that purple....so I am using them for part of my flowers

I voted for the teal. If you are doing a variety of the purple for the flowers I think it will be a nice contrast against a teal dress. Maybe do the dress with the ribbon all teal and make your MOH with a purple ribbon.
I do agree with the other poster who said that the MOH wearing a completely different color would be too loud in your pictures.

I agree too. I think if you're doing purple flowers then you should do the teal, so it makes the flowers pop more. And personally, I think 1 color (w/ an accent sash or something if you want ) for BM dresses is ideal because it would distracting in the pics.
And I asked my MOH, since she's quite a but larger than my other BM's, if she wanted a different dress/complementing shade of purple and she said she didn't, which was good with me, since I wanted everyone in the same dress/color anyway. I was hoping to get silver sashes or flowers, but they didn't offer it with that dress.
Our colors are shades of purple and silver/gunmetal. So the flowers are shades of purple with white/silvery accents. There are also Lilac flowers on my dress.
