I STILL have not ordered bm dresses and it's driving me crazy. I have only found one grown I love and it's $211 which I feel is a bit much for my girls.
Sorry, total vent here.

Why dont you ask them how much is too much? My girls spent 250 on the dress and were all 100% OK with that.

maybe you can have the girls buy this dress but give them the option to buy whatever shoes they want (or wear something they already have) ... that way, they'd still spend the same amount of money in total.

I second this. I gave my girls a choice between dresses that range from $150-180 and dresses that range $190-220 and they all picked the more expensive ones! They just liked them more and felt it was worth it... so you never know.
Also, if you're really concerned, see if you can get it through RK Bridal's 'No Frills' service. That often knocks $20-30 off the price. They will have to get measured & get alterations somewhere else, but sometimes that easier for the girls anyway.

how far are you willing to travel?? If you really like them I know a store where the woman will chop off at least 20 % off!

Seriously if I loved the dress I wouldn't mind...I've had to spend about that on dresses I think are absolutely hideous.

i would def ask your girls what they would be comfortable with b/c I found that my girls were willing to spend alot more than i thought...you may save yourself some of the headache.
