So, I went to go look at bridesmaid dresses at Macy's and fell in love with a Bill Levkoff dress, style 470. The dress is $260! I feel like $260 is alot, considering the girls will most likely need alterations of some sort. Does anyone know where Bill Levkoff dresses are cheaper???
Is $260 average???
I don't know what the heck I'm doing, but I don't wanna break everyone's banks!!!!

If you really love the dress but are concerned with the $$, maybe you should try looking at RK Bridal... Their dresses are significantly cheaper. I fell in love with a Jordan dress that was $200 in Macy's.. At RK Bridal it only cost $114!!!!! Hope this helps!

I think $260 is a lot, there are a lot of options out there for less. My goal was to stay in the $200 range.

Maybe try the Wedding Center in Commack too...they usually have the dresses for a little bit less than suggested retail. Not like 100 off, but maybe 30-50 or so.

My first suggestion would be to look for it elsewhere for cheaper but if that doesn't work out....can you use a Macy's coupon (usually 20% off) towards the dress? Also if you open a credit card there is an additional discount (10-15%). And on top of that you can ask to have the dresses shipped to a NJ location for no tax (anyone you know in Jersey)? I know its alot of effort but it's only in a worse case scenario. Hope it works out for you!

**I called RK Bridal....they quoted me $176!!!! I was really excited....but I live in GUAM out in Mattituck....so I then called Macy's...and today I got a call fromt he regional manager, Macy's is MATCHING RK Bridal's price!
Now....I really have to buckle down and get a dress of my own.....

wow that's great that they matched the price. It always helps to make a few phone calls and try to get your way.

Thats great they price matched you!!! I was going to suggest finding a similar dress by a different designer at a lesser price.

great negotiating! 260 seems very high for a BL dress. I'd call Lillette's too for a price. my girls dress was 'retail' 190, and i saw it at bridal shops for as high as 230, and as low as 176... but then Lillette's took an add'l 10% off since I got my dress there, bringing it down to $160.
I'm shocked at how overinflated Macy's prices were
