Ladies, I am having such a difficult time picking out a bridesmaid dress that fits all of bridesmaids in a flattering way. Two of my bridesmaids are heavy and I dont want them to feel uncomfortable in a dress and look silly. someone had recommended to me that i get those two piece dresses that have different tops, but I want all the girls to have the same dress. CAN YOU LADIES HELP?? Post your bridemaid dress!!

alfred angelo has 2-pieces lazaro has 2-pieces too (I like lazaro because the girls can order 2 different sizes and different colors from top and bottom) here is mine (but with spaghetti straps)

They come with sphagetti straps and the shawl. All my girls are short, one of them has bigger breats so that is why I had to get a dress that had optional straps. I also wanted all my BM to wear the same dress.

why don't you try the mix and match pieces...david's bridal has this...you can have your bm's pick any style that they like and just pick the color you want, this way they are still uniform

I had this problem too. The majority of my bridesmaids were very thin but, I had one average size mother of three and one bridesmaid that was a size 16. I really hate the way most bm gowns fit larger sizes...pulling in the back, making creases in the bodice etc. and, I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable. After trying on tons of gowns we tried this one: http://www.amsale.com/bridesmaids/030100/a.shtml# It is hard to tell from the picture(since the model is so skinny) but the gown is very flattering on all body types. The bodice has stays in it that keep it straight on all body sizes. There is also a matching wrap that the girls wore around their shoulders and tied in the back. Try it on...you will see what I mean! They only sell amsale bridesmaids locally in bloomingdales in manhattan, the wedding salon in manhasset and iman bridal couture (DON'T GO THERE). Good luck!

Anything with a corset top. I have from size 4 to 16 in my wedding party and it looks great on all of them.

Sreidy- I love that dress! Who makes it? My bridesmaid's are thin to medium, but one is young, so I didn't want anything to cleavagy.

We got them at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue- they have the sample there in that color (which is my color) right behind their desk when you walk into the place. It's style #7084.

My Bm dress is by Jordan style #4SJF04 its shown in blue but the BM are wearing wine. It looks like a two piece but its not and it looks great on all types of women. Im sorry I dont know how to post it maybe someone else can for me

we had this problem too - 2 VERY different body types. We chose a Bari Jay dress. Both seemed happy with it.. Good Luck!

I had the same problem- I went with 2 piece in black and it seemed to work well. I used the same brand that Annieb did- Amsale and I loved the dresses. Here is a pic:

We had a dress with flowy material on top across the chest and a sheer overlay on the rest of it to 'hide' larger tummies. It had spagetti straps and the bigger girls weren't falling out of them.

what I've decided to do b/c I have the same problem w/ 10 bms. My wedding color is lilac and since 3 of bms resides in another state, I've decided to use David's bridal. Each girl can pick out whatever dress they like as long as they are comfortable and they get it in the lilac color. All the girls love the idea and they are very happy with the choices they've made b/c they can wear the dress again for a different occassion if they like.
