I picked out a bridesmaid dress that I really like, but I'm not sure which shop to order them from. The shop where I got my wedding gown is way over-priced, and I don't want to impose on my girls to spend $230.00 on a dress. I know that there are other stores who sell it as low as the high $150's. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop that I could get them from, where things will run smoothly? Thanks, Deb...

Also, I live in Seaford, and most of my girls live within 15 minutes of me. Thanks again...

Which designer and dress is it? I'm sure we can find you a better price than $230.

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses...
It's by Jim Hjelm. The Occassions collecton. It's satin, with 3 roses by the lower back, with a train running to the floor. I heard about Bridal Garden in Bethpage. How are they? Thanks...

You should email Netbride.com to get a qoute, then you can call around if you want to see if you can get a better price.
I just got my girls dresses from Netbride. Got delivered on Wednesday, I was told I would have them no later than the beginning of Oct. THey came in a month early. They were $105 and I only have 3 girls. I think the more you have the lower the price they can give you.
We got a Bill Levkoff. I think in the stores they are about $150-175

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses...
I had the same problem with some Jim Heljm dresses that looked great on my BMs. Since I'm planning my wedding long-distance anyways (and my bridesmaids are scattered across the country)...What I did was call around and I found Elizabeth Bridal Couture in Hoboken, NJ had a trunk sale happening a couple of months back --- knocked 20% off the price + no tax! The best part is, you can do everything online www.elizabethbridalscouture.com and they are very, very friendly over the phone. Niether myself or my bridesmaids have had one issue with them.
I think the Jim Heljm site also lists where their trunk sales are occurring -- so might be another option to look into.
If you know the style number and all the specifics, it might be worth a call. I have yet to step in the actual store (so the most you might have to go there is once to pick them up -- but if you don't want to do that, they will ship the dresses too for an extra fee). But everything I've heard from my friends and my experience so far, Elizabeths definitely has a good reputation.
Hope that helps

Try Burton's. They will give you a price right over the phone, just have the style number when you call. They also cap the BM alterations at $45. You can also try RK bridal. They will match plus give you 5% off any internet price.
wedding center in commack. You can e-mail them or call for a price quote. My BM dresses went for $190 and they quoted me $150. #(631) 5436898 or www.twc-commack.com
