bridesmaid dresses

Sooo a couple of weeks ago I took one of my BM's dress shopping... She tried on a TON of dresses and ALOT of them looked soo gorgeous, BUT the one that was my favoriteeeee and I love so much was a mermaid style. I really liked it but my wedding dress is a mermaid style. Do you think that would be ridiculous to have my BM's all in the same style dress as me??? I mean its not the EXACT same. I keep going back and forth. On one hand I think it would be really cute but then I think I should stand out from the rest. ???

What do you girls think???

TIA!

Do you have a pic of the BM dress??

ETA - very pretty dress! I think its simple enough that you can do the same style as your dress! as long as you are ok with them being in the same style of course... and you will stand out regardless you will be the bride!!! HTH

Re: bridesmaid dresses

I think they will look lovely together, but if it were me I would want to standout a bit more... but I am obnoxious about this type of thing lol (I feel like it's my one day where this type of obnoxiousness is excused lol). Like, if my hair is down, I want my girls hair to be back... etc. lol. But I think both your gown and the gown your maid is wearing look stunning and will definitely create a cohesive look!

I don't think it will look bad if you all wear mermaid dresses. My girls and I have some sort of roushing (sp?) on our dresses.

Really?!!! I know I LOVE that dress!! I am going to try one more BM dress and then I think I am going to make a final decision. The other one I really love is the 1 strap jim hjelm (its in my album in indigo blue) But I have to see if one of my BM's can try it on/ I have to find a place that has it!

Is your dress a mermaid style?

Re: bridesmaid dresses

No -it's A-line princess. But I think you could totally wear mermaid and stand out. I am afraid that my dress will actually clash with my BM's dresses...there is tons of beadwork on my dress and the style does not really match the flower....

I actually have not seen the BM dress in person yet - I chose it online (tentatively) and was going to bring my sister to the salon to try it on. Your friend looks great in it and it's making me want to go soon!
