When did everyone start their bridesmaid dress shopping? My wedding is coming up in less than 8 months and I still haven't been able to get a day to get all my bridesmaids together to go dress shopping. I also have one sister is 7 months pregnant and wants to wait until after may to go dress shopping. Am I putting it off for too late? or is 6 months before the wedding enough time?

Depends on the designer and the store. My bill levkoff dresses take 14-16 weeks regular or you can pay extra for Rush cut. If you can't get everyone together, take who you can and have them try things on. I wouldn't wait too much longer unless you're ordering off the rack. By the time everyone gets together you may not find the one that day and delay it further! Also alterations- in case alterations are needed you may need extra time

It depends on the designer and the store. I started as soon as I started planning because I was really picky about their dresses. When I couldn't find what I wanted and affordable, I got aggressive and finally last August found a dress. The girls did their measurements between Nov and Jan, they're still not ready. They wont be ready until April 12th and my wedding is the 24th. I waited too long and now it's cutting it too close. I would say even if you found a style you liked that would help. They can start with the other dresses and then work on your sisters.

My wedding is in October and since I am planning it from Florida we haven't gone yet...going in April when I come up for a 3 day weekend and crossing fingers that we find something!

My BM dresses, Wtoo by Waters, arrived in only 8 weeks or so. But even the bridal salon, Max Bridal, was surprised they came in that early. I started looking in October while I was dress shopping for myself. They originally said 3 months for BM dresses.

I would start looking now. I agonized over colors for my BM dresses. I think I spent more time picking them out than my own dress!

I picked out the dresses about a year out, but thats just because I found exactly what I was looking for. We used weddington way, so the girls ordered their dresses for my Nov 27th wedding by the end of Jan, becuase they were holding the old price of the dress for me

We used weddington way too. Just got together last weekend to try on their top picks and picked the top voted dress! We were literally done in 20 minutes. lol
