my friend had this situation...it was NEVER a problem in her eyes...we all go to pick our dresses, they had to be same color...the larger lady made her own dress in a matching color.

Edited to add pic, which isn't posting....grrr

or you could try using one manufactuer (this ensures same color and fabric) and then just choose a different style for each girl!
this is what i might do. i have ten very differently shaped ladies!

Most manufacturers make dresses from size 4-54. They can also buy additional fabric if it is needed bigger than a 54.

I only know this cause I asked the people at the Bridal Suite

you can also get 2 piece dresses they tend to look good on all body sizes. most manufacturers have plus sizes so you can get the same dress for all the girls. just try a style that will be flatering on all.!!!

I think Alfred Angelo makes lovely dresses in larger sizes. Other than that I am pretty sure most manufactures make dresses up to a size 24.

I struggled to find BM dresses that all my BMs would love and feel good in. The girls ranged from my 100 lb sister to my best friend who is much larger.

They ended up choosing a 2 piece by Alexis (found it at RK).

The a-line skirt was flattering on everyone. The top is a stretchy velvet, which is a very forgiving fabric.

Ugh...the color is waaay off on the computer!!

All the girls in our wedding are different sizes and shapes, so I picked out the designer I went with seperates. I choose the color. I let all the girls pick out what tops they wanted and they are all wearing a-line skirts.

Not being a slender person myself (size 18), I too have had this problem and nothing is more embarrassing then not fitting into anything that the manufacturers make. However, Bari Jay carries larger sizes (up too a standard womans 24) and then you can order extra material at 175.00 per panel. It can get quite costly. One wedding I was in where I was not the largest person in the wedding, the bride choose a two piece where the tops were a 3/4 sleeve stretchy velvet from Bloomingdales. This worked out nicely since the shirts came in smaller sizes as well! Good Luck in your search! Keep us posted!

Most manufacturers make dresses from size 4-54.

54? I've only seen up to 24 - after that you need to buy extra fabric to add to the dress.
