Bridesmaid dresses cost?

For those of you who have shopped for bridesmaid dresses what is the costs that you are running into and at what # is to high to spend on a dress?

my bm dresses cost a little over $100, but because i ordered them at the same shop i got my dress they gave all the girls 10% off, soo in the end with tax and everything came to $100

that is prob the average some are more, some are less, depends on the dress

being a bridesmaid almost 10x... I've spent anywhere from 150-350 on BM dresses (and that's before alterations). I thought the 350 was a bit much.

I would definitely try and order your girls dresses together at the same place because you can get good discounts that way. For FSIL's wedding this May, our dresses were original 195 but we got it discounted to $155 ($168 with the taxes). And I believe alterations cap at 80.

Most of the dresses we looked at were about 200 to 250...the dress we ended up getting was 285 but we got a 20% discount cuz I got my gown there....... for fsil our dresses were 170ish they are after six we got them at demetrios....most there were 140 to 180

Mine are about $300 total, with tax and alterations I think. I've never been in a wedding where the total was under $200.

my dresses were $138 with no tax.. probably more when you add alterations to them

mine were 150 once alts were added in....

I felt bad asking for them to spend more than 200$ total....I knew when I was a BM I wasnt happy w/ going over that # so I felt I should practice what I preach per say!

Mine were $298 originally, but the girls got a 15% discount as I also ordered my wedding dress from the same shop...so it came to around $254 (w/o tax and alterations)....

mine cost $99 + tax .... my BMs don't really have money so my goal was to find an affordable one for them.

I wanted to keep it around $150- they came out to be $165 after tax.

My BM dresses were orginally wedding dresses that we had customized and made pink. They were $300

My girls dresses costed $115 without alterations, but they got $20 off because I had gotten my dress there as well! The dress would have been $135.

Originally $225 but because I got my dress at the same shop they paid $190 plus i think $25 for extra length ( they are all over 5'10')

My girls dresses are between 180-204 before alterations.
I neg. A LOT cuz I thought anything over $200 was too much to ask.
