my bridesmaids are wearing a purple dress so i got them a purple purse with some silver jewels in the middle...very cute...hard to describe...well anyways i didnt really care what color shoes all of them wore as long as they all wore the same color. so they decided on silver and i am fine with that but my mom is not! she completely b*tched at me b/c i got them a purple purse and they are wearing silver shoes! does the purse absolutely have to match the shoes??? i mean they arent going to be holding the purse all night its just to hold makeup and a mirror!!! didn't think something so small would be such an issue!

youre bag doesnt always have to match your shoes.. thats a very old school rule. Tell mom this is 2010 and its OK!

omg that would be TOO MUCH purple. purple and silver totally go - my thing is that silver and even gold go with pretty much everything - that's why i have a ton of those shoes!

I'm a fan of shoes matching the purse. But not a fan of shoe-dying.
Definitely don't think the purse should be the same color as the dress though.
I would do purple dress, sillver bag/clutch/purse what have you and silver shoe.

purple and silver go very well together. and no one is going to see the purses - the girls will be holding their flowers in pictures - and the purses will be on the floor in a pile somewhere (lol, sorry but its true)
