Bridesmaid Gift Help!

I was thinking of getting my BMs beach bags from JCrew with flip flops and towels, but I had a brainstorm the other day and thought of a way to personalize it a little more.
What do you think of getting all my BMs bags of some kind (not necessarily just beach bags)? I would get ones that were appropriate for each person. For example, my pregant BM would get a diaper bag. Another BM is graduating from Business School and is starting her new job one week before my wedding so I could get her a work bag of some kind. I've thought of a couple others as well but I have 9 BMs.
So far I have:
Diaper bag
beach bag
'work' bag
overnight bag (one BM is moving to Boston)
Wristlet (one BM lost hers at another BM's wedding)

Any other ideas?
If the bags differ in price dramatically, anyone have ideas on how to even it out?
One more thing, what are the name of those bags that are patterned and quilted and shaped sort of like a duffle bag but soft??? Anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

I think the bag you are describing is a Vera Bradley bag. www.verabradley.com. They have a bunch of different shapes and color/patterns. I think the idea of getting a different type of bag for each bridesmaid is great! The only way I can think of evening the prices is by putting something more expensive (like a bracelet) in the wristlet, and maybe sunglasses in the beach bag for example.

a bag that i have always wanted is one that you can put makeup and stuff in when you travel... they sell them at ulta... kind of like a carryon bag...

if the price difference varies that much btwn the bags you can just alter what you put inside them...

on www.exclusivelyweddings.com they have these cute white mesh beach-like bags that you can have names embroidered on in various colors - then you can buy the tissue paper (as shown on their site) to match the embroiderey to stuff in the bags...

i did a very similar thing. i went to tj maxx and got all my girls bags that suited their personalities. one was black leather, another straw, another like a coach bag and another was ralph lauren. then i filled them with either wallets, books, or something else. then i went to the estee lauder warehouse and got tons of makeup and put stuff in that fit them. it went over well!

I was just talking about this same idea today. I was going to do Vera Bradley for some of my girls, then Land's End monogrammed beach bags for others. You can fill it with stuff for each girl (like if one girls likes a certain Bath and Body Works scent or music or hobby etc)

Great idea-
I know I want to do a bag- I am only having MOH so she will be spoiled!! She will be staying with me the night before, so I will probably do the bag with overnight stuff inside it, also have her makeup done and maybe hair too../

great idea for your girls- maybe you can put giftcards in some of them, or other little trinkets.
