Bridesmaid Gifts DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

Hello Ladies!

Unfortunately I am posting about an event that occurred between a bridesmaid gift seller and I.

Please be aware she is quite nasty and I am now disputing with her for a refund since my purchase was never delivered.

The following is my conversation with her.
I made the purchase on Feb 29th, and I have still not received it.

The Purchase was made on ETSY and she has a spotty history of untimely delivering her goods. Since it was a good sale, I wanted to jump on it since weddings are expensive as is, but that turned out to cost me more hassle and I will be purchasing my bridesmaid gifts and wedding dress hanger elsewhere :(

Any questions or clarifications, I will gladly explain.

Hi Ms. Taylor, I still have not received the package and the USPS number states that the electronic info was received but that the package was never sent out. It has been more than the 5 days it was supposed to take and I am becoming quite concerned.

Let me look into it, Once a tracking number is generated the package is complete, and picked up that day from the USPS for shipping

I understand that that is usually the case with tracking numbers for USPS which is why I gave it some time before addressing with you, but it has been 19 days since the notification that the electronic info was received. The USPS website also states that once they receive the package they will also update the status and location of it. (i.e. - places where it had to change hands and the usps locations of scanning for the site to update)

Previous purchases( from other vendors) have shown that with delivery confirmation (what the shipping I paid for includes) will indicate, time, date, and location of delivery. Unfortunately for the tracking number of my package, none of that is available.

Ms taylor, please update me on the status of my package. If I do not hear a response or resolution by the end of this week, I will file a formal complaint with Etsy and Paypal.

While the item was purchase on Feb 29th, I understand you were backlogged from information other brides had shared with me. and thus the electronic receipt for shipment date was Mar 27th. It has been nearly a whole month and the item has not arrived.

While I would like to not press forward with this course of action, I feel I have no other choice from the lack of communication between you, the seller, and I, the customer.

I understand you situation and I am doing everything I can to help. Insurance is an option as stated in the listing it is available at an additional cost. This order was complete and picked up by the Batavia post office for delivery. Check in is completed by the USPS once scanned. I will remake this order but per the listing I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages and insurance is available. Upon remaking this order will ship as I did in the last transaction and will not be responsible if something happens with this package. If you would like to add insurance it is $2.80

I will be contacting etsy and reporting you. Your feedback was unfair and untruethful as I said I would remake the order I will be leaving you a feedback as well. Why is it in the lenghty feedback yu could not mention the full details of the conversations?? File your claim!

Oh,just so I don't look like I'm hiding anything, she is referring to the negative feedback I left on her page about my dissatisfaction.

Even if she did produce another batch of hangers for me, who is to say it will BE DONE and then ACTUALLY DELIVERED to the post office? I was more concerned that she would want me to pay more for the insurance just so she can JUSTIFY herself for suggesting it in the first place. So since I thought there was a fat chance of it actually being done properly the second time around, I wanted a refund and wanted to voice my opinion on her. Now I just want to share this so no one else runs into my problem

MY Review of her service on ETSY

I have to say, I have never dealt with a purchase anywhere before that has taken close to 2 months to reach me. Not only is communication sparse from this Seller, she is absolutely defensive and rude and responds to you as if you are the one at fault! Since I had heard about this seller on LIWEDDINGS.COM from a fellow bride, I was willing to trust this seller eventhough there were negative reviews on timeliness. BUT - I had purchase this item on Feb29th, and on March 28th (MUCH LATER than the 16 days the seller had mentioned it would take)the seller informed me (after multiple inquiries on my part and eventually sharing the information on April 4th) that USPS had received her notification to pick up the package to have it delivered. NOW here is the part that doesn't make sense- I have dealt with USPS with delivery confirmation many a time before, and they will track each and every step of the way where the package is en route to the final destination. TO THIS DAY, it still states that USPS has only been notified that it should pick up the package from this seller ONLY. Then she sends me a very rude response basically stating that well, you didn't take insurance, I'm not responsible for lost items - WAIT, what evidence do you have that the product was lost? DID YOU INQUIRE? DID YOU RELAY THIS TO ME? Now, eventhough as a customer, I did not purchase insurance, as a REPUTABLE SELLER, she should look into whether or not the USPS had lost the package- which takes a simple inquiry on her part. It will save her the hassle and cost of producing another order and it will help her keep her ratings high. But this is just my opinion. Now, I am left with out a product I paid for, and I will be filing a refund request with both paypal and etsy. It is far more worth it for me to buy a product that is a bit more expensive but will arrive on time. What if my wedding had already passed? Like it had for some women who purchased from this seller before? That really puts a damper on the day and adds to an already stressful event. I hope that the seller will consider the amount of orders they will accept or give a more reasonable delivery date or follow up with the post office for future clients.

this was the same seller that had the 'deal' on hangers? with the tornado...
mine did take a while but they were worth it & my wedding is really far out.
i also had a similar delay on my plaque- with no real reason.

her and I had a few 'conversations' as well... since it took almost 2 months to recieve mine as well..

(turned out they were sitting on my porch the whole time, FH had taken them in and didnt tell me) but she does have some bad reviews and DOES take forever for delivery.

Ridiculous.. I purchased mine from her as well and it took about 2 months to receive my hanger. She said it was because of a tornado in her town, who knows if that was true. The finished product did come out good but it took FOREVER to get it and she wasn't responsive.. Best of luck getting your money back!

It took awhile for my hanger also. I was a lil peeved but she told me about the tornado, whether or not it is true, who knows. My hanger clearly wasn'y a rush since now it just sits in my closet so in the end it wasn't a big deal.

A HUGE part of my job is mailing things to people via USPS. Truthfully, they are major screw ups. It is very possible that she DID send these and they are sitting at her local post office.This happens to us once in a while. Unfortunately, USPS does not cover anything and if you didn't purchase insurance, then they don't even file a claim.
The best thing for you to do is go to your local post office and complain big time. They probably won't help and they'll tell you 'we have no record of this'.
So basically... considering she has other bad reviews, she probably is really slow and didn't get it out yet. However, I do just want to point out the other side of the story and this DOES happen sometimes. When it happens to us, we unfortunately have to eat it and mail out something new or give a refund. It's probably also in Etsy's terms that she HAS to do that and she should anyway!!. Typically the 'lost' items are returned to us in like two months after sitting there at the post office

I could not agree with this post more. This woman is a disaster. She tried to pull the 'I already shipped one, so I'll send another' thing with me and sent me a nasty message as well as negative feedback when I left her neutral feedback. Unsurprisingly, when I asked her to prove me wrong and send me the tracking number for the first hanger she 'sent,' she got defensive, called me rude, said I was being petty and told me 'You are welcome for receiving a $30 hanger for $5' She also said 'By offering these at the price I am I have realized I deal with a wide range of different people.' No, you just realized that you couldn't deliver as promised and decide to blame it on your buyers instead of admitting you took on too much. In the feedback she left for me, she said she went 'above and beyond' by sending me two hangers. I don't think it's going 'above and beyond' by sending me an item I paid for. I will definitely remember this because I'd like to get some hangers eventually ...

There are a lot of brides on here who bought.... and it did take a long time... but you get what you pay for and they were pretty cheap compared to ALL the others on etsy.

in the end, they come out really nice

but she doesnt need to be so nasty. when she and another etsy vendor were slow, they just had to tell me the TRUTH and i became patient again :)

I absolutely agree that the hangers are cute and a great deal for the price, but it would be a lot easier to look past the slowness if she would just own up to it and not lie about lost shipments then get all pissy when you call her out on it. Like you said, all she had to do was tell the truth and say, 'I'm sorry for the delay, I've been really busy with all the orders. I'll send it as soon as possible.' She wouldn't have lost a potential repeat customer if she'd at least acted like she cared and taken the blame.
