bridesmaid gifts - how much?

Just wondering how much I should pay for bridesmaid gifts and if it's okay to give just one maybe two things?
I'm struggling financially and but wanted to give something nice to my two BRs. Need suggestions!

I think that as long as the gift is thoughtful then don't worry about how much it costs. I am sure they know how much the wedding is costing you and will understand.

I think you should do whatever you can. My bms were amazing with the shower, bachelorette party, and prewedding process, that I wanted to show them my appreciation. I would def. say no less than 50 because remember the amount of money that they are shelling out to be a part of your special day. jmo

i spent about fifty......but i actually got them a whole bunch of stuff. For jewelry i went to www.partytimejewelry.com they have SO much stuff and it's really inexpensive - the stuff also came within a few days(also when u check out a piece of jewelry, scroll down & it'll show u the matching sets). Check them out - they have pages & pages of stuff.....because i ordered stuff through them, i was able to get them more stuff to go with it....(fyi - david's bridal has a ton of really inexpensive purses...i got them little bags to match their BM dresses...also got them engraved compact mirrors)

ps: the best thing about partytimejewelry is that most of the jewelry can be customized with color...so u can usually match up the jewelry to ur BM dresses

I just bought my BM's jewelry boxes from Bombay Company. I tried to spend a reasonable amount, but they were cheaper than the marked-down price!
If you find something nice, it's nice no matter how much you spend/save.

I ended up going a little crazy and spent around $100 on each. I got them all personalized frames, the cutest pocket mirrors, and Tiffany key rings.

Well said!

I also suggest coming clearance sales, outlets, and Ebay for deals and get online discount codes from Naughty Codes or Retail Me Not. Consider making gifts if you're crafty. But price it out first--making something doesn't always cost less.

FTR, I spend $75 on the BMs and $100 on the MOH. They each got a Bliss spa set, tote bags, duffel bags, flip flops, full-length fleece robes, luggage tags, and compact mirrors. I crocheted a blanket for MOH.

Whatever you can afford. If you feel you can't afford to much you can always make a personalized gift that might mean more to them.

You do what you can afford. When I first got engaged my a friend of mine, whose wedding party I was in told me she spent $150 on her bm's (including myself). I couldn't believe she spent so much. After hearing this I said I would spend $100 per BM and $125 on my MOH.

Anyway, after months of planning and my bank account getting smaller, I am going to spend $75 on each BM total and $100 on my MOH. My girls have been really helpful to me.

I got my girls Coach mini skinnies from an outlet in PA for $29 and their day of jewelry for about $30 and I plan on buying them a few things from Bath & Body Works b/c they are having a sale. In total it will be $75. For my MOH, she is getting the same except I am taking pics that I have of us when we were younger and putting them in a shadow box with a poem about friendship.

HTH..

You do what you can afford. Weddings are VERY expensive.

I'd like to take my bridesmaids for pedicures and lunch and maybe the chinese slippers for the reception. That shouldn't cost more than $45 per girl and you get some quality time in.
