Sorry to be a pain, but I can't decide!!!!!
I bought all my girls the Elsa Perreti Medium heart necklace:
I recently had this sweatshirt made and everyone went crazy over it:
I am deciding between, 1. Giving them that necklace and a sweatshirt that says Bridesmaid on the back and their inital on the front 2. Giving them that necklace and a sweatshirt that says Bridesmaid on the back and their NAME on the front 3. Returning the necklace for theSMALLheart and using the money back to pay for the sweatshirt
Which do you prefer and would number 3 be a selfish thing to do since they can't use the sweatshirt after the wedding?

Donna- Good point about the dinner. I didnt' even think about the whole restaurant aspect.
I liked the inital ones too, but I have jen, jenny, jessica, and a diane and danielle. so...kinda weird I think.

What about having the sweatshirt with there name and then have a patch made that said bridesmaid and you can pin it on the back and then they can take it off after the wedding.

I think I would do #3 But on the sweatshirt I would print Bridesmaid and their name on the front so this wya the back is empty and the sweatshirt is more useable than if it has BM written across the back!

I think thw BM sweatshirt is a nice 'token' gift but wouldn't get much use. The neckalce will definitely get alot of wear so I voted for #1.

I was just thinking you could get felt squares and have bridesmaid printed on it and then pin it on the back. So then you get the best of both worlds.

I love the necklace, but would never wear the sweatshirt. Maybe just put their initials on the sweatshirt, so they can wear it out. JMO

Who cares if you are never going to wear the sweatshirt again???? Just like they are never going to wear the BM DRESS again either. I think it is a cutre idea and if they are reasonably priced I would definately do it!
Some people actually take into consideration whether or not their BM's will wear the BM dress again...and make the effort to find something that they *will* wear again.

If the gift is going to be just the sweatshirt with initials then I say ok. This way they can wear it again.
so I guess my answer is - def. the necklace (either size) and the sweatshirt with initials only.

And to add, I bought the sweatshirt and the took it to Embroidery Shop on Commack Rd. in Commack. I think it was $10 a line of text, much cheaper then Things Remembered.
Hey Beth!! I dropped mine off on Tuesday and I pick up tomorrow!! They were so nice at the Embroidery Shop! Thanks for the recommendation!! I'm being charged $15 per item (for two lines - Tim's Wife & date and Mrs. So & So & date - I figured it would work for RD, day of & honeymoon that way).

ROTFL!!! I got non-hooded track jackets (one white, one blue) from gap.com (although of course the day I dropped them off to get done, I saw on gap.com that they had white french terry hoodies). I figure I don't have to worry about the hood obstructing the lettering!! LOL!!
