Bridesmaid Q- Kinda long but I NEED advice

Ok so I have this girl that I was friends with growing up. She lived across the strett from my bff and we were all the same age so our parents made us play with her. She became a good friend and we were friends through hs. After losing touch for quite a few years, we've been in touch lately and see eachother every few months or so.
So anyways, yesterday she told me through text 'I better be in your wedding party'. I laughed it off and said we weren't picked until our e-party. Then she said it wasn't a question, it was a threat. I still laughed and she was like- 'no I'm serious...'.
It puts me in a very weird spot.. I wasn't planning on asking her to be in my BP. She's kinda the 'where I go, drama follows' type. I totally don't know what to do and I feel like she just wants to be in so she can tell people 'yeah, I'm in joanna's wedding party'. (ps- s4 years ago I found out she told ppl she was in my sisters wedding party and she wasn't even invited to the wedding!)
SORRY so long but please helppppp! TIA!

I think if you didn't want her in the party, from the beginning, don't ask her. I ended up only asking my cousin to be my MOH and to have no bridesmaids. I have heard that some of my friends are upset about that, but it is our wedding and I did what I felt was best.

Just tell her that you've decided to only have X number of people and unfortunately , she's not one of them. She sounds very pushy and I feel like only being perfectly blunt will work with someone like that. What is she threatening? That she won't be your friend anymore? Then she wasn't your friend to begin with!
