Bridesmaid Question

Original post by bride2b57

I know that we are suppose to get our bridesmaids some sort of gift for being in the party. I have heard people doing gift bags or a special piece of jewlery. When it comes to hair, makeup and mani/pedi...who takes care of that? I really don't care how about make up and nails but I would like the girls to have the same hair.

i will probably buy them jewelry of some sort to wear on the wedding day..

they will pay for hair/makeup, but we are going together to get it done

My bridal party will pay for their hair, makeup and mani/pedi. If I had the money, I would have treated them. I may help pay for my MOH (my sis) and my flower girl. I will be purchasing them their accersories for the day, like their jewelry and handbags.

Im getting them gifts and I'm paying for the hair/make up/nails....... i just feel like if i want them to be done up with similar hairstyles i think its only fair that I pay JMO

I agree with this...if you tell them how to do their hair, you should pay. : )

this is what confuses me................i really want them to have similar hairstyles....my hair is going to be all down, really flowy loose curls, very sultry :) soooooo i really don't want any of my girls to have their hair all down too....half up half down, or all up is fine with me....

sooooo as long as i dont specify EXACTLY how i want their hair done, do u think its rude for me to say that it just CANT be all down??

cuz i def cant afford to pay for them to get it done (and i kno a couple of them will be willing to pay to get it done themselves anyway)

Re: Bridesmaid Question

I'm planning on giving my BM's DOJ and a nice gift that they can keep, something not necessarily for the wedding. Maybe a nice coach bag or gift cards. My budget for gifts is 1000 dollars. But I have 9 BM's and a MOH

JMO but i feel like if i want them to get it professionally done (regardless of style) i'd feel kind obliged to pay for it, this is just how i feel and i dont think anyone expects you to pay, or at least most dont

right of course...i would feel that if i wanted them professionally done, i should be willing to pay for it, but since i can't, im hoping that at least saying what way i want it (as in NOT all down) should be ok...cuz then they can do their own hair half up or all up, or choose to get it done professionally

i jus kno that w/ 7 BMs and my MOH and 2 flower girls, im gonna be shellin out at least $1000 for them, so i cant start to offer hair for all those ppl too
