Currently FH and I have seven people each in the wedding party. It is relatively large because FH has two brothers and so do I, and he has three best friends.
There is one friend from college I would love to ask to be in the bridal party but am unsure of how the uneven number would look. We were roomies throughout college and part of me already regrets not asking. I am closer to her than one of the girls I asked but I asked her because she is part of our 'core' group of friends and I'm in her wedding this fall - she is marrying FH's best friend.
So my question is, what is your opinion of me having 8 bridesmaids and FH having only seven groomsmen. I know it's a TON of people already... But I get such anxiety when my friend asks me about wedding planning because I instantly feel guilty!
What would you do!? I'm definitely leaning towards asking her but would love to hear your opinions

I personally need it even because I'm weird like that. But if you're ok with it uneven. Go for it.

Bridesmaid Question
Our sides are uneven. We have a very large bridal party (27 in total). There are 14 guys and 13 girls all together, including the kids. There are 11 adult guys and 8 adult girls. It's gonnna be a bit awkward but we are going to have some pairs where 2 guys walk a 1 girl down the aisle. Our wedding party was going to either be extremely small (we each have 1 sibling) or extremely large. FH has had his group of friends since elementary school and since was in all their weddings, he felt like they have to be in our wedding also.

Bridesmaid Question
I prefer even but if you can't, you can't. In reality though, it is about the people who you want to have that honor versus numbers.

Crashing! I think it absolutely fine to have an uneven number! FH has 4 guys and I have 3 girls and 1 guy on my side. You will make it work :)

Re: Bridesmaid Question
I definitely think you should add her!! My gf is in the same dilema for her wedding in Feb..only difference is she will now have 2 extra girls, so her total is now 11. As long as you're happy with the choices that's what matters

Bridesmaid Question
If you feel in your heart that you want her then I would definitely add her. The last 2 wedding I've been to had uneven parties and it still looked and went great! It is about having the important people in your life share thi beautiful day with you! : )

Bridesmaid Question
I don't think a bridal party needs to be even. I asked 7 people and one DENIED me (yes, I'll keep talking about this until I'm blue in the face). I was really more upset that it was going to look silly, but after reading and reading and talking to people, I learned it doesn't need to be even. If you have the people that you want by your side, that's all that matters.

Bridesmaid Question
We didn't even consider having even sides a necessity. We just each made a list of the people we wanted to participate, and whatever it was, it was. Ended up being one difference, but were both happy with our decision. And this is coming from someone who is so OCD about things!!

Bridesmaid Question
We have uneven parties -- 5 girls and 3 guys. I have 3 younger sister, so that was a party all in itself. I think it will look fine, and you should ask people who mean something to you.

Love this! That's exactly what FH and I are looking at but I was concerned with making the 1 guy work.. how are you doing it??
I think it's fine because I obv. am in the same situation. I wish I could avoid it but its not happening

I would ask her. You could always do one guy in the middle with two girls when you need to pair everyone up. At my sisters wedding, I was with my brother and my cousin kaitlyn, and it looked fine.
I have 8 girls and my FH has 6 guys. Luckily, my sister and her wife will be paired up, which will negate one of the guys. So we will pair up the remaining 6 girls with the 6 guys :)
