So I was with a couple BMs today and one of them was asking what color I was thinking of... and I was thinking a victorian lilac that Bill Levkoff makes and it's very similar to this picture but a little bit darker. My wedding is in May and I want actual lavender in my bouquet and I love love love lavender. I even want it in the centerpieces. It's a very antique-y garden feel and that's the feeling I get at WM as well. She made kind of a face, and I was like, What's with the face! She said she had trouble 'picturing it' Whatever... I'm not going to change it unless I hate it when I see the dresses in person. She also proceeded to spend the whole afternoon taking about HER wedding (she's not engaged yet!!!) so I'm def taking her comments with a grain of salt... obviously she just wants to talk about what SHE wants. Also, she's talking about all this crazy stuff she wants and coming from experience now I'm just laughing at how she has no idea how crazy that's going to end being to coordinate!! (like destination plans, etc). Whatever... just had to rant to some understanding people!
sorry hun! she just sounds a bit jealous. i hope she gets over it

Thank you all! I think choosing colors is so hard and I'm picking the closest to my favorite color. I think they are pretty!

Those are so pretty! It's your day, you pick! I had a friend who would talk about her non-existent wedding whenever I brought up mine. It drove me nuts!

I hardly even talk about mine! And also, I had a lot of ideas that I thought were do-able until I actually started planning, looking at prices, etc, then realized how many things are just a huge pain to coordinate and/or too expensive! So definitely do NOT even go on all day about until unless you really know what you are talking about!

I LOVE lavender and went through something similar with my sisters when picking out the color and style. At the end of the day I just had to put my foot down. The dress is flattering on everyone and, whether they like the color or not, that's what I chose. When it's her wedding she can pick what she wants, but for now it's about you and what you want!!
She acts like you picked a puke green color or something!

I agree she sounds a little jealous. I wouldn't let it get to you. I think the colors you picked are beautiful. When it's her turn to get married just make sure you return the favor!
