bridesmaids

my sister already knows that she will by maid of honor

my friend Justine knows that she will be a bridesmaid - she is the only friend that i asked b/c she's my best friend

my FSIL also is a bridesmaid and knows but i haven't formally asked her.....

to be honest i haven't really formally asked any of them....so i was thinking that maybe at our engagement party in september i can formally ask them by giving them some sort of card/gift bag or present.....any suggestions? i don't have alot of $$ to spend but i'd like to do something special for them - and i want them to know that i <3 them and i think it would be a nice way of asking them to be in our BP....

also, is anyone having a matron and maid of honor? if i ask FSIL to be my matron of honor does it take anything away from my sister being the maid of honor?

thanks!

No, it won't take anything away from your sister. You just have 2 head people on your side, that's all. She's just matron because she's married. You can always have your sister be your #1 MOH and FSIL is #2 MOH.

No im thinking about doing the same thing. I dont have a sister but growing up, i was close with my cousin who is 5 years younger then me. I think she is going to be my MOH but FSIL is in the bridal party too, is 4 years older then me and i think im going to ask her to be Matron of Honor. I figure the two of them will be able to help each other out.

Re: bridesmaids

my sister is only 16 - she will be 17 for the wedding - obviously anything she does for me regarding the wedding my Mom will have a hand in since she isn't really that mature or organized and isn't old enough to plan outings like the bachorletter party(LOL) my family also lives in Florida which makes it even more difficult since they are far away....

i figured that FSIL (29 and married) will be able to help out my little sister and mom - so i think it would be nice to ask her to be matron of honor.....besides that fact that I LOVE her and am her son's godmother!

thanks girls
