Everyone always says 'wait wait, you might not want them in your bridal party in two + years'. I think thats a load of baloney. I'm having my two sisters, my two sister in laws and two best friends...they aren't gonna change. And if there is some huge blow out in the next 3 years, then either they will be kicked out of the bridal party or we will kiss and makeup as we always do! As for the FH, he needs to make up his stinkin mind already...he has two brother and then my brother....but about 9million 'best friends'...and to a point, he;s right cause he has known them since we was like 5, but COME ON pick and choose!
I hope to have my e-party in feb and i was thinking about putting little bags on their plates with a picture frame asking them to be in the bridal party. Or a envelope with a card....not sure yet!

I would ask the BP privately...something about other people's feelings, idk. With me, we all go out sometimes, so I'll probably just do at a lunch or dinner night with just us.

Well, i figured the envelope was private enough. They basically already know they are in my bridal party and the only people invited to the e-party other than them is family. No other friends are coming that i think would be insulted. But, thanks!

Yeah I was thinking of asking privately because for whatever reason I keep hurting peoples feelings.. i cant tell you the amount of calls/texts/emails i got 'why wasn't I invited to your engagment party' i was like realllyyyyyyyyyyy

Re: Bridesmaids..
All my people live in different states so they'll all be separate, but I don't think that asking people closer to the wedding is crap. I mean if you ask family , then yeah, chances are, nothing will change... but I was in a good friends wedding last year and over the past year I've hardly talked to her... its not that she's not a good friend but we've drifted, so I don't htink it'll get better in the next year so I probably will not have her in my BP but maybe have her do something else. So i'm glad that I haven't asked anyone yet... plus I'm still not 100% sure how many I want yet :)

Oh i'm already anticipating the 'why wasnt i invited' BS....i'm having a 50 person e-party (literally only our family and the bridal party)....and the wedding is looking to be about 350...so obviously people are gonna be like ***. But, you know what, if people start to talk, i have NO PROBLEM, opening my mouth and being like 'i dont see you helping out with this $100K wedding (when all is said and done)'...so shut up!
I can be such a classy broad sometimes, LOL

I won't lie, it reeeaaally makes you re-evaluate your relationship with people when you're not asked I wasn't asked by one of my cousins and I almost didn't want to give an envelope But seriously, it happens!

I agree with the drama and opinions... so I decided not to talk about my wedding unless someone asks, and then I keep it short and sweet. I appreciate 'advice' but keep your 'opinions' to yourself

Crashing- I made my girls Heart shaped cookies and decorated them with sparkly icing.. I wrote on them:
'Name', Will you be my bridesmaid? <3

Re: Bridesmaids..
There are some cute cards that I bought at cafepress.com that say 'Will you be my bridesmaid' and one that says 'Will you be my Maid of Honor'. They are blank inside. Since a lot of my girls are out of town, I was going to mail them to them with a small token (like a sequined shirt that says bridesmaid) and a nice note that explains how important it is to have them with me on that day. I figure this will probably be followed up with them calling me when they get it, but I thought it was more special than just calling.
I'm having a dilemma as it is though since FH's brother is getting married 2011 and as of yet his fiance has not asked me to be in their wedding. Don't know how to return the favor (or lack of a favor). I'm a little insulted, but trying not to let it ruin anything. Any ideas?
