Bridesmaids!!!
Hi everyone. Do any of you have bridesmaids that live in different regions/countries?? I have some that are a couple of cities away and others are in the Carribean and others in Canada. How on earth will I be able to coordinate them and see how they look in certain dresses if they live so far away?? I'm thinking it's going to be a total headache trying to get these girls together to go dress shopping. Is anyone else dealing with this or know anyone else who had to deal with this? How should I go about this?

Bridesmaids!!!
Out of my 7 BM's, one is in DC, one is in CT and one is in IL so I do not think that im going to be able to get them all together. That being said, Im thinking of ordering from weddingtonway so they can all get fitted in their own area and then order the correct size.Since most of my girls are relatively similar in body shape I may go with the local ones first - and then if we narrow dresses down maybe find a dress shop near them all repectively where they have the dresses in stock and ask them to go in and try them on and snap a few pics? I dont know if the dress shops will allow but that or facetime is the only thing i can think of

Bridesmaids!!!
4 out of my 6 bridesmaids live out of town. It was hard to figure out how to go about choosing dresses but I had a fairly decent solution: I took 1 of the girls who lives locally shopping with me - she happens to be a totally different size and body type than me. So we both tried on all of the dresses I was interested in and took photos. I figured this would give everyone else an idea of how the dresses would fit and would work best. Seeing photos and actually trying a dress on definitely isn’t the same, but better than nothing!I am using Little Borrowed Dress and letting the ladies choose from 3 different styles.

Bridesmaids!!!
My 3 bridesmaids live in 3 different states. I took my MOH to Davids Bridal, we picked a dress and then told the other 2 they could go to their local Davids Bridal and order it.

Bridesmaids!!!
My MOH lives in Philly, one bridesmaid lives in Maryland and my sister lives in Israel. I have 3 who are pretty local, but two of them live in the city like me while one is in Ronkonkoma. I invited all of them to go shopping for my dress and only my FSIL (who lives 3 blocks from me) and the one from Ronkonkoma came, which was probably for the best since it wasn't too crowded. For the bridesmaids dresses, I only took two of the local bridesmaids to RK bridal where we tried on dresses. We're ordering online (netbride.com). They will all get measured locally and give me their sizes to place the order. Then they can get all their dresses altered wherever they want.

I have one bridesmaid that lives in CA, I am going to pick the color, length, and fabric, and then let my girls choose their style. I only ask that they talk with each other to make sure no two girls have the same style. So, she can go shopping in CA and no headache for me...I hope

I used davids bridal for my girls because they are all over and it was easiest. I just picked color, fabric and length.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you all! Thanks so much for your suggestions!! David's Bridal would've been perfect but I doubt they have a branch in Jamaica :( I guess the others could get their dresses from one place and I could send some color swatches down to her so she could find some in Jamaica that are similar to the styles of the others. Even that seems like a lot of work though lol I checked out all the websites everyone mentioned and I really think I'm leaning towards Little Borrowed Dress. I mean.. renting bridesmaid dresses - I'm surprised there aren't many other stores like that! My bridesmaid dress is still sitting in the closet collecting dust so I think $50 for rentals is a great option! Plus, lucky for us NYers, their only store is in the city so my local girls can make a trip with me to select a dress. The only thing I'm concerned about there is that some of my BMs are in the process of losing weight and some will probably gain weight so I don't know if they all should buy a dress and get it altered or what. I don't want them to spend a fortune though. I think over 80 bucks for a dress they'll probably only wear to my wedding and nothing else is a waste. That's just my opinion though. How far in advance are you all trying to have your ladies dresses ordered?
