I am thinking of asking my bridesmaids to choose their own dresses. Maybe just setting the rules that it has to be black, chiffon, floor length or whatever.
Has anyone done this?? Have pics?? I'd like to see how it ends up looking...

Alfred Angelo sells separates. Perhaps you can pick a color and let the BM's chose the style that suits them?
We used Alfred Angelo for this very reason. My only requirements were the color and the length. They could pick dresses or separates. It worked out wonderfully.
My MOH picked her dress. It was the first one she picked up. So easy!

I am doing that.....I picked wine from Davids bridal & everyone has a different dress. it worked out well because my bridal party ranges in age from 16-40 between my 4 girls. Also different body types. They are all happy.

i know somebody who did that. She just chose the color(s) and then had the brides 'design' it themselves. They came out very pretty.

I tried but it did not work. i thought it would look awkward for some of the gorls to be in the same like 5 in one and 2 in another so we changed our mind. although some of the photos posted look great.

I actually picked out about 6 that I liked. Then told them to pick which ones they like the best. In my ablum is one of htem the other has straps I just dont have pics up yet! It was better b/c the girls are all diffrent sizes.
i'm doing this. i want the same fabric, designer, color, and silhouette.

Some people do, I personally like the conformity of them all in the same dress, my MOH's and BM's are wearing 2 different shades though

I think it could work as long as they are all the same material and exact same color. I offered this option to my BM's but they ended up agreeing on the same dress.
