Bridesmaids dresses

I have several out of town bridesmaids, and I'm not sure how we will work it out when ordering their dresses. I know the salon wants all bridesmaids to order from them, but is there a downside to them just purchasing it locally? It may be a dumb question, but do they all need to be in the same order to match perfectly?

Also, does anyone have suggestions of where to go? I want to keep the dresses under $200, and stay in Nassau or Nassau/Suffolk border to be convenient to my local girls.

was told that if they order them separately that sometimes the dye of the dresses is a little different. I wanted my Bridesmaids to match perfectly so I am waiting till all of them get measured, and put their deposit down ; then I will place the order.

I got my dresses from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Its right on the border of Nassau/ Suffolk and my girls who live upstate didnt have to drive too far to get their dresses. Check them out they were VERY helpful :)

they should really be ordered at the same time from the same place because the dye can be different shades if they're colored at different times. Sometimes its minimal, other times its a big difference. id rather be safe and order them all at once! 2 of my bm's are out of state so im going to have them come up when is best for them to pick them out, then just send me their measurements and ill order them together.

David's Bridal in Westbury has decent selection. As other girls said id order together due to dying.

For my friend's wedding all her bridesmaid are all over and one is even in Italy, so if we couldn't get to the store we just sent in our measurements. She also got them from Macys and they were less than $200 ($190 with tax and we received a discount for ordering more than 5 I think.) Macy's is convenient, too because Macy's will ship to another Macy's store for free. So you can order all from the same store at the same time and then the girls can go to their local Macy's store for fittings. I did hear you should order all at the same time because each lot has its own dye so the dye can be different if ordered at different times.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I made appointments at Bridal Reflections and Bridal Elegance. I guess I'll be telling the OOT girls to send in their measurements.
