My BP will be paying for their dresses (mutual understanding) however one of the girls in my BP is kindda broke so I offered to pay for part of her dress (they chose Vera Wang Gowns). But majority of women who are in BP know that they are responsible for their gowns.

I know in Ireland the bride & groom pay for their dresses. thank-God we got married here!!

I worked with a girl from Ireland a few years ago and I almost had a heart attack when she told me this! Thank goodness this isn't protocol here or I'd have no bridal party!!
My bp is paying for their own gowns

I would love to pay for the BP dresses. Its just not in my budget. I think that they wouldn't of said yes if they couldn't afford them.

They are paying for theirs, but I am not having them buy shoes, they all have silver ones to wear from pervious weddings. BM know the responsibility of accepting, shower, B-party, dresses, etc.

They are paying 100% of the cost. But if one of them had any troubles paying, I wouldn't hesitate in the least bit to help her out. I was also very good to my girls- I found their dresses for $165!!!

i put that they are expected to pay the full cost, however the dresses ive been wanted, ive been finding them on major sales in which id probbaly just buy them(wouldnt cost me more than $200 for the 2) and moh may be prego then so her dress will have to wait

I am paying for their dresses as part of their gift. But they were expecting to pay it.

I felt bad about asking my BMs to pay for their dresses, then I remembered I was in 3:5 BM's weddings and I paid for my dress.
If you can afford to pay for them great. But in most cases, we're already breaking the bank on the wedding. It's a right of passage, don't feel bad about having your bridal party pays for their dresses. BUTi f the dress you picked is super expensive (>$250), you may want to subsidize.
