another issue...i dont knowwhat toget my bridesmaids..Iknow what they all like but stayingat or below 50 dollars eachand finding something is tough. I cannot find anything i am sure anyone will like. Is it a good idea to get something engraved? I see nice silver heart bracelets but I am not sure who likes and who hates hearts hearts . what about music boxes? jewelry boxes? those ideas tacky? I want them to like the gift!!

Re: bridesmaids gifts part 2
Instead of gifts that they may or may not like or use I decided to take what I might have spent on a bridesmaid gift and apply that to the cost of the dress. I haven't told my entire BP about it but from the few people I have told I got rave reviews. Then at the rehearsal dinner you can give each one a card where you write something meaningful and heartfelt.

I got them each a necklace set with earrings and bracelet. I went to Macys in the Jewlery section and looked through all the boxes on the tables. They were about 20 each. I also am going to make up a small bag with bath salts, soaks, and bath confetti.
i am getting my 2 moh's a throw blanket and i'm going to get it engraved with their names and the date of my wedding. for my bridesmaids i'll probably get them a piece of jewelry, but i'm not sure yet.

I didn't have much to spend either. I have 4 BM's, 1 MOH & 2 FG's. I bought all the BM's necklaces with matching earrings at the Attias Flea Market in Sayville (the 'Cute Corner') & that came out to about $32 each. I bought them the 'wedding day' scent yankee candles & votive holders & put them in organza bags. That probably came to about $4 or $5 each. I am having my FBIL burn them special CD's which is basically free. Then I made them those bridesmaid cards with a mini-version of their dress on the front (I will try to scan a pic). I got the idea from someone here who made them. I LOVE how they came out!
My sister is my MOH so I will be paying for her make-up that day as something extra.
The FG's - I ordered faux pearl necklace & bracelet sets from theknot ($19.99 each). Just got them the other day, they're a little cheesy looking so I may return them & go back to Attias & look around. I also made them FG cards as well.
I'm sure anything you do or give them will be appreciated. Things Remembered has some nice ideas and always has sales if you decide to go the engraving route.

I wanted to give them something practical, so I paid for their dresses and makeup.
