Bridesmaids hair and make-up

Are you ladies making your bridesmaids get their hair and make-up done? If you are...who is supposed to pay for that?

I was in a bridal party once where the bride gave us all gift certificates to get our hair done as a gift (along with earrings). It was really nice because it was one less thing I had to pay for and I appreciated it more than I would've a little trinket with my initials or something like that.

My BMs are getting their hair done but they're paying for it. I WISH I could afford to pay it for them. But I can't

i tired to get all my bridesmaids in one spot, i even paid for half of it(tired to have a peace of mind with them all in one spot) they all kept changing there minds yes no yes no but in the end i got all but 1 (my sister) and her 2 girls going! it's been a real pain in the but.

if my girls want to get their hair done then thats great, but they dont have to...same w/ makeup... but they will have to pay for it...

My girls are paying for their hair and make-up because I just can't swing it. But I will definitely compensate with excellent BM gifts.

My girls are paying to get there hair done and i am payng for the makeup, my friend is a maryt kay lady! She did a great trial run on all of them including me!

I am letting them choose their own styles, makeup, even dress. I really want them to be at ease.

If they want to get their hair and makeup done with me I will probably tip all the stylists but I don't think I can afford to pay for the service (5 BMs at 150 each = not in my budget

Due to logistics, it is too difficult to get all my BMs together before the wedding to get their hair and makeup done. I'm letting them do what they want with their hair and makeup. If they choose to have it done, they will pay for it themselves.

Thank you!! I was thinking of suggesting that they all wear up-dos (the dresses are strappless) and have them figure out if they want to get their hair done or not. One of my friends went on theknot.com and that website said that I should pay for it... and as all of you said, I would LOVE TO, but I just can't afford it.

I think if you 'require' it, you should pay for it. If they decide on their own to get it done, you are under no obligation to pay for it.

All I ask of my BMs is that they wear there hair up. If they plan to do it themselves or get it done that is up to them.
Told them it is up to them if they want there makeup done or not. Either way I cannot afford to pay for seven girls plus my own...I really wish I could but I just can't.
