Bridesmaids hair question

How are you asking your bridesmaids to wear their hair? I am having a bridal party of 9 girls and was originally thinking of just asking them to wear it up. But the more I think of it, I'm not sure if I should ask them to have it all the same way....

What are you ladies doing or have done??

I guess I'm in the minority, but my bridal party will wear their hair up per my request. But my bridal party is just my MOH (who is my best friend) & my 10 year old sister will be a junior bridesmaid. Since there is just the 3 of us I'd liked to have a similar look, though not identical. Plus, I want them to wear a very simple headband/tiara with one or two rows of crystals. I guess if I was having a larger wedding I'd feel different, but honestly I know they both look best with an updo. I think it will be very sophistacated. And whenever my MOH complains(about anything), I just remind her that one day she will get married & then she will want me to do everything exactly as she says. Then she lets me have my way & I know(& she knows) when she gets married things will be her way.

I agree- I'm going to let them do whatever makes them happy. My cousin made everyone have the same color nails and all up-do's (an extra expense I would've rather not made)

I asked the girls to wear it up, but whichever way they feel comfortable. Some girls dont like the way they look with it all up.

So, Wacky, are they all doing it up??? I was going to ask them to atleast have it up. I mean I don't mean to TELL them what to do. I dont know, I guess I have time... I want them to look elegant, meaning hair off of the face. I'd like to see their faces, ya know?

Most of them will wear it up, but a some I believe are doing 1/2 up 1/2 down. I know how you feel about wanting them to look elegant, but some girls do not feel uncomfortable with it all up. You can suggest it to them and let them take it from there.

I did let my girls pick out their styles but if you have someone in your bridal party that is known to be outrageous at times I would take her to the side and let her know what you expect of her hair.
