Bridesmaids is all sizes?

Hi All!

Everyoen here is so helpful, it is great! I just have a quick questions. I have 8 bridesmaids from size 0 to 22. I want to do all diffrent dresses, becasue I think everyone would be happier that way. Has anyone been to or had a wedding where the bridesmaid wore different dresses? Does any one have pictures they can share?

I let my girls choose from Alfdred Angelo dresses they all wore the same color and skirt but the tops were different.

My girls all ordered different dresses from different makers. My only wish was black, chiffon and tea length. I just don't care that much about different dye lots. Everyone is happy with their dress, they can wear them again and will feel beautiful on that day.

Yes Yes Yes!!!!
I was in a wedding recently where all 6 girls wore a different dress in a different shade of pink.
It looked great!!!
They were all the same length but not the same fabric. It looked great.
I will try to get a picture for you.
We were all different sizes, shapes and skin tones. I highly recommend it. I am doing the same color scheme.

This is what I am doing. Either Alfred Angelo or Impressions. My girls are all wearing the same skirt but are choosing their own tops. That way they get to choose what they feel looks good on them and they are happier wearing it. The only request that I have is that if they choose to go with a top that does not have sleeves, they will need order a shawl to wear in church as I want all shoulders covered for the mass.

I don't have any pictures, but I was in two weddings where we got to pick our own dresses. The first was with David's Bridal separates and we were told which color to get and we picked out the skirt and top we wanted. The second was Bill Levkoff dresses and we were again told the color we should get and we picked out whichever dress we wanted.

I think that's a great idea. I'd do it in a heart beat if my girls didn't all look good in one dress. Forcing the same dress if it doesn't look good on everyone (or at least make everyone comfortable) is so 'yesterday' lol. JMO.

The main reason why I did it was because I was in my 2 cousins weddings and I hated the dresses one was strapless and as you can see my own wedding dress had sleeves. I sat in the corner the whole night of her wedding. Those dresses are now rolled up in a ball in the bottom of the closet at my parents house. A waste of money. I wanted them to enjoy themselves. I also let them pick their shoes.

Also My friend since I am born had open heart surgery She has a big scar that goes up high. When we picked out the dresses she picked out a halter that went almost to her neck couldn't figure out why then I realized it was cause she was uncomfortable with the scar I was really happy that I picked them then at that point!

I picked 2 different dresses- Both Bill Levkoff in the same color and fabric but one was strapless and one had small straps. I wanted all my bridesmaids to feel comfortable. As long as you go with the same designer and color I think it looks great! Makes it alittle more interesting for your guests to look at instead of the same dress on everyone. I think the idea of all the girls wearing a different dress in the same color is great also....its almost like a fashion show!

My girls are all picking their own dress (just in the same color and fabric) from David's Bridal and when my friend had gotten married we got to pick out from her selection of Alfred Angelo dresses. It works out great!
