Bridesmaids question

Hi girls,

Quick question: do you think it's appropriate to ask your bridesmaids in a group to be in your wedding or should you do it individually??

i am thinking of inviting the girls to my house for lunch & presenting them with a gift which inside of it will ask them to be my bridesmaid, etc....

let me know.....

Re: Bridesmaids question

I don't know because if for some reason they can't, they will feel on the spot. I think it might be better if you asked them alone.

Re: Bridesmaids question

I invited EVERYONE over for a BBQ this summer and in the middle announced the 'REAL' purpose of the BBQ. My FI and asked each person to be in our wedding at the BBQ. Some started crying, others were shocked that i held it in for so long, hahahaha

Re: Bridesmaids question

I think thats a nice idea. There may be some pressure if someone cant say yes, but on whole, i think its a nice idea, if these girls are close to you, you probably have a good idea of how they would react... however, for your maid of honor or matron of honor, that should be done alone and spearately.. it a higher honor i think and deserves to be done one-on-one

Re: Bridesmaids question

Personally, I asked my bridesmaids individually to be part of my special day.

To add a personal touch I wrote them a note and took each one out to ,lunch.

Re: Bridesmaids question

I think it should be done alone. You have a personal relationship with each individual and your relationships are all different. I think you should do something that symbolizes why they are important to you. Asking in a big group seems impersonal to me. I wouldn't like being asked in a group. All of my BM commented on the special ways that I asked them and how it made them feel important. Let them have their moment with you alone.

Re: Bridesmaids question

I think it's a nice idea. I asked them individually over the phone like a loser. I didnt do anything special, but most of them live out of town.
