bridesmaidzilla-need advice

I have a sister who is also my bridesmaid. She has been difficult from day 1 starting with being mad that we didnt put her husband in the bridal party- I have 3 sisters so would have had to put all 3. Dress shopping was a horror show with her demanding things she liked and not caring what myself or the other girls liked. To please her I picked the dress she wanted but in my color which was also an issue. She is not even coming to my bachlorette party. Well my bridal shower is next month and my only request is that my bridal party be at the same table. She told me no because she is sitting with her mother in law. Am I wrong to be mad?

Can she put her mother-in-law at a nearby table? At my shower, for the most part, we all sat at the same table just to eat, but then spent the rest of the time going around and mingling. But it's nice to have the bridesmaids all sitting together, especially if you're all sisters.

I would have a talk with her if she seems to be going out of her way to go against you on every single decision you make, especially small ones like where she sits at your shower.

If it was my sister I would just ask her to sit down and talk and tell her how her actions were upsetting me. Hopefully that helps her come around. Good luck

You need to have a one on one with your sister and express how it is she is making you feel. This is your day and what is suppose to be a happy time for you she seems to be making it more difficult and adding unnecessary stress. Was she a bridezilla when she was planning hers or is she normally a difficult person? You have every right to be upset. Don't mean to come across so abrasive, but she already had her wedding and now it's your turn. The bridal shower is a month away and she has a month to have her temper tantrum and get over it. But seriously, you need to have a talk with her.

OMG! This sounds so similar to what I have been dealing with! My older sister (I am one of 3) has not helped with anything. I don't think that I ask for a lot, but she has already stated that she cannot and will not go to my bachelorette (10 months away)party. We went bridesmaid dress shopping Saturday which she refused to go to (I gave 2 months notice). When she told me she couldn't go I offered to just go her and I because she felt uncomfortable due to her weight, she said no. Now that we picked the dress she said she doesn't like it. We picked it specifically with her in mind. She said if it doesn't look good when she goes to try it on she wont be in the bridal party. I am so done... No you are not wrong to be mad. I want to give you a big hug, I know the feeling! I am so sorry you are going through this.

thanks for the input- its crazy- she was normal when she got married and I said her mother in law can sit and the next table. Ive tried to talk to her and does no good- she thinks Im wrong and being bridezilla- Lori- I agree and said her mother in law would be right next to her and she can mingle all she wants. Did no good. KTF- Tried to talk- she has that 'Im always right 'personality and its her way or no way it seems. Kim you are 100% right not abrasive- it IS my day and I told her its not about her- I think alot of her negativity and difficulty is because her husband isnt a grooms man but it was my fiance choice and we are not close to her husband. Deb my sister has a weight issue too- it took her a month after everyone else to go get sized and order her dress. they fail to realize its OUR day not theirs- big hugs back to you good luck.
