So I need to know if I'm being a bridezilla here....
FH's uncle is a jeweler and insisted on providing FH's wedding band (I veto'ed him making mine since I'm so picky). So we sent him pix of the bands that FH was interested in and the uncle sent two rings for consideration - one which kinda looked like the style that FH likes and the other had diamonds and is totally wayyyyy off as far as his taste - or mine for that matter.
So after expressing that, FMIL said that the ring with the diamonds was more of a gift and can just be worn on special occasions - including the wedding day....
HOWEVER, i want the ring that we take our vows with to be the ring that he wears every day...not some fancy ring that sits in the drawer. Then he'll be wearing this other ring that he didnt even wear on his wedding every day of his life? What does that symbolize? I want him to look at it and think OK this ring is the ring that my wife put on my finger the day we got married.
Ahh! haha! Sorry for venting but i need a ruling here. i want to explain my feelings to his mom but i dont want to sound like some crazy biznach.

What does your FH want? Ultimately, it's his ring.

Re: Bridezilla or no?
I know he will never wear the diamond ring. But I need to talk to him - or convince him - that its more meaningful to wear the one that we got married with....at least thats how i feel.

Re: Bridezilla or no?
FH and I are buying him 2 rings...1 for special occasions with diamonds and the other just yellow gold that he can wear to work. We are going to use the yellow gold one for the ceremony, but bringing both to have them blessed by the deacon. It's very nice for him to give you the ring as a gift, but if you do not feel comfortable with him having two rings, ask your FH to tell his family member that he does not like a ring with diamonds in it. And you are not being a bridezilla at all.

I completely feel the way you do. It's symbolic and important to me that he wear the ring every day.

Re: Bridezilla or no?
I have two weddings bands - one with diamonds and plain white gold one. We used both of my wedding bands at the ceremony and both were blessed. It was important to me to have them both blessed otherwise the one that wasn't would just be a 'ring' not a 'wedding ring' The deacon said a lot of people do this.
