I just went to a wedding at CBC and I was not impressed. Didn't like the CH room (but the deck is nice), there was hardly any food, and the food that was there was just ok. I think I was disappointed b/c the couple spent A LOT per plate so I was expecting more. Most ppl I talked to were 'ehh' about the food. The ballroom did look good with the uplighting though. I had a great time b/c of the ppl I was with but wasn't impressed w/ the hall. These are just my opinions, don't mean to offend anyone
I have heard good things about Bridgeview but have never been there for a wedding...just to go clubbing years ago, lolll. A friend is getting married there next July though.

I am biased towards Bridgeview, but also a friend of mine was telling me the plates at CBC were kinda overpriced, bc she had her wedding there and afterwards felt it was too high.

Im going w BYC just bc CBC was rude, pushy, unprofessional and trashy when we went to see them. They also made rude comments about the other RHs we had seen and wanted like 5k right there to 'hold' a date.
One was Lands End and imo CBC cant even compete w them.

I looked at CBC and I fell in love! It had a great staff and a real destination wedding type feel. To hold the date they asked for 500 dollars (which I paid) and is refundable.

I have been to two weddings at CBC and they both were great. The first was a wedding in the month of November. The B&G had their ceremony outside on the deck overlooking the water and the CH and Reception inside. The food was great at both the CH and Reception.
The second wedding I attended there was in the month of July. Everything was outside and it was awesome! The ceremony was on the deck. The room that is next to the deck was set up for CH and had the doors open to the outside deck where all the tables were set up. The reception was also outside. The Bridal party was announced off the deck and they came out on the sand and the first dance, mother/son/father/daughter dances were also on the sand.
If you are looking for a true beach type wedding then I would go with CBC because BYC is just a dock whereas CBC is actually on the beach.
I truly think that you get what you pay for and it all depends on the packages that you pick at each of the halls.

I have heard that Bridgeview is really nice. I was goign to look at it but I grew up in Island Park and I could not get past that.
One thing you should consider is if you are getting married between Memorial Day and Labor Day there are a bunch of bars over there and people are always walking around there.

My wedding is going to be the last weekend of April. I am going to talk to them at Bridgeview about when the other bars open(I think BYC owns almost all of them) because that is a very good point.. I honestly don’t want a beach wedding, but my FH loves the idea of the beach. My dream wedding is very elegant and classy. I love how Bridgeview's ballroom has the tent feel… what bothers me about BYC is that my FH went to it during his 'club' days. Thursday him and I are going to look at it (went with my mother first time). I hope he feels the same way I do… I also like the Crescent ballroom, I am having a night wedding with lots and lots of candles…

The end of April should not be a problem with the people walking around even is the places are open. All of the places are really outside so nothing really starts until Memorial Day weekend.

Bridgeview is great!!! They actually recently redid the place so it wont be the same as when FH went in his club days....
FH and i both used to go clubbing there so we didnt really want to have our wedding there, but it really is GORGEOUS!!!!!!
