Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

Hello!!! This is my first post on this site! I just got engaged last week and my fiance and I are looking for places to get married at next summer or fall. We found two places that we really liked and I wanted to see if anyone has any reviews or insight to give to help us make the final decision between the two. The two places are Bridgeview Yacht Club and The Inn at New Hyde Park. We were given the same price quote from each venue, except the price for Bridgeview on a Saturday night in August is the price we are getting quoted for The Inn on a Friday in October. Has anyone been to wedding at either places that they would recommend one over the other.

Thank you so much everyone - We have to make a decision on either place by this weekend!! =/

Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

I'm a little biased toward the Inn...I've never been to a wedding at Bridgeview but I've been there plenty of times. Bridgeview definitely has a beautiful look for a Summer wedding, while the Inn appeals more for Fall or Winter.

Which do you think offers you more? Would you prefer to have a Friday or a Saturday wedding? Does the location of either matter? Are you going for a specific look? Does the surroundings matter?

They're pretty different venues, different feels, and even different seasons to choose between the two! Tough choice! :)

Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

I've been to two weddings at BV, both were beautiful, great food, and ambiance. I've never been to a wedding at the Inn so I can't tell you too much about it.

As said above, I dont think you can go wrong with either place but IMO they both have completely different vibes to them.

To me, BV has a laid back feel while still being elegant, I think it's a great place if your guests like to party.

I thought the Inn was classy, elegant, and sophisticated but was just a tad on the stuffy side for me.

Also, definitely consider the time of year Summer V. Fall and which you prefer.

Good Luck!!

Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

I think Bridgeview is the nicest hall on Long Island, but I may be a bit biased ;)

Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

FH and I looked at both Bridgeview and Inn @ NHP when picking out our venue. We ended up going with Bridgeview because we loved the idea of being on the water and the vibe there was a better fit for us. The Inn was our second choice. Both quoted us right around the same per person, but like you said for Bridgeview that was a Saturday night, for NHP it was a Friday night which was a factor for us. I really dont think you can go wrong with either place. For me the Inn had an amazing and unique cocktail space, but the ballroom was a little boring and stuffy as a previous poster mentioned. I also didnt like that the outside space there was basically right in a neighborhood. At Bridgeview I loved all the windows, loved all the outdoor areas for guests to wander, and loved the fact that the entire premises would be just my wedding guests (Inn @ NHP has the restaurant/bar and sometimes other events going on as well). For those reasons we ended up going with Bridgeview over the Inn but like I said I really think either place would be awesome. And FYI Bridgeview has been a pleasure to work with so far. FH and I live down in Virginia right now and our BM Samantha has been super accommodating and responsive to whatever we ask of her. Good luck with your decision!!!

Re: Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

Congrats on your engagement!

I saw both Bridgeview and The Inn (Booked with The Inn)
I think they are both totally 2 different looks..it all depends what you are going for.
I LOVED the inn as soon as I stepped foot in the place I knew it was the one!!
I can tell you that Bridgeview is cheaper if that helps :)
If you have any questions let me know!

Re: Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

Hi Erica!

One thing I have to say is that I've been to 2 different parties at the inn ( one wedding, one bridal shower) and both were amazing!!! I don't know what they've quoted you, but the food and service and the inn blew my mind both times!! I'd totally have my wedding there but we're doing a destination wedding :) good luck-hope it helps! !

Bridgeview Yacht Club VS The Inn at New Hyde Park

I would book the inn. My sister got married there a few years ago and it was fantastic! She took all of her pictures at the inn. Bridgeview really doesnt have a great area for photos, just a dock.

Bridgeview has a lot of good places for photos indoors and out. They have a really pretty gazebo, a cinderella type carraige and a gorgeous couch.

I have to respectfully disagree with this one. Bridgeview has a beautiful flower/gazebo area, nice grounds in the front, the back dock and decks/balcony and also the grand staircase/bridal suite lounge area. Finding places to take pictures there is definitely not a worry of mine.

Completely agree and I must add that their bridal suite is the best I have seen. It's HUGE. And I have been to a LOT of venues lol.
