did you see her last video? in no way am i against same sex relationships, but put it this way, she has basically turned nasty overnight. Oh- all the sudden she and Madonna are into eachother.
Madonna's a married woman and alot of kids look @ both of them as role models. What does that tell kids about marriage and love etc. Sex sells. and thats all she has left to sell her crappy albums... its only an opinion.

I don't think she is a ho, I defintely thinks she is a dits. It is almost impossible for the girl to articulate herself without giggling or using a little girls voice. I thought she was a woman now I have seen her out partying and she is defnitely not as quiet and meek as she pretended to be on that interview tonite.
And I don't think she is the Madonna of today,not even close, bcause she always seems like she regrets what she does after and tries to rationalize it somehow when Madonna always stood up for what she wanted and made no apologies.......Go Madonna.................JM 2 cents

I completely agree with you.
I can understand also why britney is saying that. She is a celebrity and she is doing what she wants to do not what other people what her to do just because. It really isn't her responsibility.

BTW - she's right, it's not her responsibility. I am sure she is told that she is a role model, blah blah blah all the time I am sure anyone would be frustrated being told that while trying to express themselves artistically.

I agree, it shouldn't be a big deal. But I think the difference is Britney tried to come across as the sweet innocent girl that little girls should look up to. Now all of a sudden she's trying to change her attitude to get rid of that innocent tag she had on her. Madonna was the same from the beginning and thre parents knew what their kids were idolizing. Parents liked their kids listening and idolzing Britney because she was 'the good one' Now, she's not.

also keep in mind that she is just - what 21? - and at that stage in her life where all of a sudden you realize 'Wow I am my own person' - plus she has ALL that $ - I personally think she is just exploring and having a good time.
I do think sometimes she does act like a ditz too LOL - was she chewing gum? I always see her in interviews snapping away and she looks like a goofball.
What was her apartment like? I was watching ER....

Wasn't Britney in Catholic school girl outfit, with the skirt hiked up to her chest for 1st video? Innocent never crossed my mind.
Could it be possible that Britney is growing up? Madonna was a bit older when she entered the industry, Britney was a kid. The girl is discovering herself and I see nothing wrong with that. It's NOT her responsibility to be any kind of role model for kids. She's an ENTERTAINER, nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't mean that she was innocent, just that she was trying to tell parents that she was a virgin and she wanted to wait till marriage. She came across as yes I'm a sex symbol, but it's just an image. Now it looks like she's trying to fill those shoes.
Personally, I never liked her as a role model. She promotes having a fake body and to me girls should be looking up to healthier, more real people.

One more thing, I agree that she shouldn't be a role model to kids. It's not her responsibilty that's not what she's getting paid for. But the fact is kids do look up to her. This is where parents should step in and try to monitor who their kids are idolizing.

I could not agree more....let the girl do what she wants.....who cares? She's only 20 years old...of couse she said things when she was 16 or 17 that she has different views on now....don't we all?
