Broadway

Ok another non wedding topic but its 11:30 and I am off tomorrow and want to chat and everyone else is sleeping!!!

So I love broadway! I am going to see rent again Saturday because the orginal 2 leads who play mark and roger are back and I cannot stop thinking about it!

I also am addicted to Wicked although I have yet to see it. I bought the CD back in February and now know every lyric and cant wait to see it. I know I am getting tickets for my bday in November because I have hinted to my parents 100 times (since they are going on a cruise doing my birthday I think I deserve a ticket to wicked). My twin sister also loves it so we want to go so bad!

Anyone else addicted to broadway?

I too am a fan of hte musical! I saw wicked last summer and cried like a baby. Not because it was sad, just because of how amazing it was..you will love it! I wish Bway wasnt so darn expensive though1

I wanted so much to see wicked!!! but never got to !! I did see Cats like 3 times when it was around !!
and saw Miss Saigon.. and cried !!! Loved it!!!!!!!!!!! I was so sad when they stoped playing it!

ETA ... I did go to see The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast with my son!

I have seen alot of broadway plays.

I was so excited that Les Miserables came back and told FH i was gonna take him bc i really wanted him to see it and haven't done so. But thanks for reminding me though, im gonna do this soon now

i saw beauty and the beast, 42nd street , little shop of horrors was my fave joey fatone was in it love him , rent and the billy joel one i think it was called moving out

I saw Mary Poppins for christmas this year...its my favorite movie from when I was little so FH got me tickets when it opened...highly recommend it...it was fabulous

I saw it in Feb and though Mary was awesome and then she was not nominated for a Tony!!!

I saw so many mixed reviews but I loved it!

my aunt is trying to get us tickets to see wicked for sometime in august! i'm dying to see it! i read the book and it was great! I saw mama mia and that was a lot of fun.

I love Broadway! My favorite shows are Les Misierables and Avenue Q. If you haven't seen Avenue Q I highly recommend you do! Its hysterical!!!!

If any of you want to see a show off broadway (aka cheaper) & are into music, def go see STOMP!!! FH took me there for my bday last yr and they things they do are just amazing... And they get the audience involved in the music making which is cool... I remember walking out of there and my ears were just completely opened up to all the diff sounds in the city

i love stomp...saw it three times and I have my students make there own musical instruments a la stomp!

I would like to go back with a group of friends next time... I think everyone would enjoy it... Its just so different from the rest and I LOVE different!!!

Glad you do that with your kids... Its def a not-to-be missed experience!!!!!
