Broken Blood vessel in the eye, how long does it last?
I ended up in the ER last night with a severe allergic reaction to eye drops that I used for allergies. Anyway, I now have a broken blood vessel in my eye...it's so disgusting!!!!
Has this happened to anyone else, and how long did it take for it to go away?

It happened to my old boss, it took a week or two to go away.

I've had it happen a couple of times. It gets better but it takes at least a week to go away completely, at least it did for me. But, I didn't do anything to make it go away faster, not sure if there are home remedies. Check out webmd.com, they have home remedies for everything on there.

DH just had this happen last week. The Dr. said 2 - 3 weeks, but DH is almost completely cleared up.....
He had it in both eyes... it looked really wicked, so he wore red lense sunglasses so you couldn't tell.
There is nothing that can make it go away sooner, as far as we know. We checked Web MD for subconjuctival hemmohage (the blood stuff) & there was nothing.
