i'm from brooklyn, but the only thing about the wedding that's brooklyn is the church ... my RH is in LI and so far most of my vendors are also.. The only vendor i met in the city was duet cause it was easier to go to thier manhattan office.

I remember a posting yesterday about a florist in Brooklyn - it was not very nice - but the girl didn't give a name. Let me see if i can find it for you...

It's in Ridgewood... i grew up there - it used to have a good reputation but I haven't been there or heard anything in years... as far as i know it's still good.

Re: Brooklyn

we got all of our BM dresses for my girlfriend's wedding there and she got her wedding dress there. The service was just ok.. and we found a lot of the ladies who worked there to be rude.. and when we called for appointments they were kind of unorganized. the sewed the MOHs bustle in permanently.. which wasn't to big of a deal..but they had to go there the night before the wedding to have it fixed.. more of a headache than anyone needed the night before the wedding.

but..from what i understand they are closing.. at least the dress part is. When we first went there in 06 they sold shoes and everything.. by the time we went for our last fittings in may of this year everything else was gone.. and then a few months later i heard they were closing.

I live a few blocks from Flowerama....I've heard business is slow for them right now....they are even renting half their store for offices now.

I'm a Brooklyn girl (though moving to PA). I would have booked in Brooklyn but there isn't much around here that has a great view. The Palm House is pretty but too much money and El Caribe is expensive.

Re: Brooklyn

Flowerama is bad!!! Do not use them!! My cousin used them and it was over a year before she got her pictures!! She had a BABY and still no pics!!! She just got them about a month or so ago!!! Plus they were trying to charge her extra for the limo because we arrived late to the hall do to the rain!! Thank goodness in the end the Limo driver looked the other way!!! (If he didn't I was gonna sock him!! )

She also told me of a story about a girl who bought her BM dresses there and they almost lost them!!!

Now that I hear they are closing.....I'm sorry to say it....but that's good for us!!

There are plenty of places to check out besides them!!
Unfortunately I am from queens but the girls from here who live in Brooklyn will definitely help you out!!

Good Luck!!!
