Who are you using for hair and makeup? I know there seems to be a lot of great LI vendors here but Im not sure if they will travel all the way to Brooklyn (or charge a fee). I think I would rather have someone that travels to you but Im open to going to the place. TIA!

Re: Brooklyn Brides....
I'm using Sally Duvall for makeup. Her studio is in the village and she's coming to me on the wedding day. My makeup trial is in my album.
As for hair I'm going to my usual salon. I'm always super happy with how they do my hair. It's called Creative Cuts and it's in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Re: Brooklyn Brides....
My friend may be using Helene of Make-Up and I thought I would use them also but now I'm thinking I may want to go to Pilo Arts for my hair and somewhere else for my make-up.
I've heard good things about Salon da Noi in Bay ridge; I may try them out.

Re: Brooklyn Brides....
my friend got married this past weekend. she got her hair and makeup done at Pilo Arts and they did a great job. I;'m going to do a trial there, as well as Cavalle Tonuzi (my usual salon). I may even go to Helene on New Utrecht Ave for a trial as well.

Re: Brooklyn Brides....
Make up...Jan [email protected] / 347-245-9661. She's super sweet, does great work and is really budget friendly. She travels too, which is exactly what I want on my wedding day. She lives in Bklyn.
If you want to go to a salon for one or both... Salon Da Noi in bay Ridge... Olympia for Hair... she used to work at Pilo Arts - Master Stylist for 20 yrs. She's amazing. She opened her own place...Salon Da noi... and some of the ppl from Pilo followed her. Eileen does make-up there. Also very good.
If you go with Pilo...Stephanie and Dana are very good with styling hair.
Good luck!

DONT go to Helene Art Of Makeup. HORRIBLE experience with her...
Salon Da Noi is REALLY amazing for both hair and makeup, I know a few girls who used them for their wedding day and I was going to use them before I ended booking M*I*A* (who does travel to brooklyn just so you know)
Theres Lush that has done some nice work, (also bay ridge) Hair and makeup...

Re: Brooklyn Brides....
For my son's wedding my DIL and the whole wedding party including myself, her mom and her sister used HELENE THE ART OF MAKE-UP on New Utrecht Avenue between 75th & 76th Streets. They did a wonderful job. Helene did everyones make-up and she brought along one of her hair stylists to do hair.
The two of them even traveled to the Hilton Garden Inn at JFK where everyone was staying without an extra fee. They were prompt, professional and very nice.
