Park Slope has everything, you will have a huge pick of good restaurants and cafes. I love Aunt Suzie's for Italian Food, Bogata for Spanish food, Kiku or Nana for Japanese food. There's just so many places to choose from.

Re: BROOKLYN ladies!

My favorite restaurant in Park slope is Al Di La... amazing italian food. FH and I also love Sotto Voce and Aunt Suzie's for more casual Italian. JPAN for sushi (and friendly service!).

There's a dog run in the park on 5th and 5th, and Prospect Park has off-leash hours before 9am and after 9pm. When the weather warms up you will definitely want to take your dog to the 'dog beach' in Prospect Park.

There is also a cool bar called The Gate on 5th ave. around 3rd or 4th st. Dogs are allowed, which makes it really fun.

We actually moved out of Park Slope last year...I miss it like crazy. You're going to love it!

Stone Park Cafe has an amazing brunch.

Also LOVE Miracle Bar and Grill. IT's the same owners as the one that used to be on Bleeker in the W. Village, but closed last year.

Fh and I live in Park Slope. Every place here seems to be pretty dog friendly. For food, we love Park Slope Ale House on 5th st and 6th ave, Kiku for sushi on 10th st and 7th ave, Yamato for sushi on 1st and 7th ave, Song for Thai on 1st St. and 5th ave. 12 st. bar and grill. I get my hair cut at Slope Suds on 16th st and 7th ave. Check out the Farmer's Market every Saturday at Grand Army Plaza from 10am to 3pm.

Chip Shot is another place they will fry anything you brink in...pizza, twinkies (sp?), mac & cheese...everything! There also on 5th ave (5th street or 6th street i think). Lowes, costco & Home depo are near as well.
