ladies- i know there is a place in brooklyn with amazing lights (recently featured on GMA). Anyway- my FH used to live there and hasent been back to see the lights in years. he keeps saying we should do it- so i am thinking after finals are over i will plan a nice night of dinner and take him there.
Anyone know exactly where to go to see the lights? Ill have to put it in my GPS.

I'm pretty sure it's in the Dyker Heights area. (Near Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst). My exbf lived nearby and we went one year. It's very pretty.
Yup this is exactly right! That reminds me I have to get over there and see them this year lol

I wish you could have seen it like 15 years ago. it was insane! then people cut back or couldn't afford it anymore. :(
its still fab but back then i guess things were easier.

Uh oh hope FH isnt disappointed- he has not been back in prob over 10 yrs at least. yikes! ill let you know.

The houses that are decorated are in Dyker Heights. 14th Avenue and 82 Street is one block - just driving around that neighborhood would be a nice show.
Belt Pkwy to 14th Avenue exit. Go to traffic light, make left, make right at next light. Go straight passed 86th Street and turn left onto 82nd Street. Enjoy!

its Dyker Heights. you can not drive through that block. its total insanity. find parking like 10 blocks away and park and then walk to the houses.

Yes!! Correct!! Did you know that there is actually a tour bus for this? Google 'A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour' and you will find it. They do the holiday lights and they do the best pizza shops in brooklyn. I went on this a few years ago. The pizza was to die for and then we went and had spumoni.

You can drive past FH's house on 79th between 7th and 10th! They did a really good job and FH and his dad do it themselves.

The neigborhood is Dyker Heights and especially 84th Stree from about 12th Avenue down, but the whole neighborhood is lit up beautifully and including Bensonhurst too.
